only a few minutes left and it doesnt sound good.
If we lose it is another in the trail of City catastrophe's in the FAT. And we needed the money given the FA Cup and falling league gates.

Hopefully with a new manager in place. He however will have a huge job on his hands. Some of the candidates interviewed though I think are capable of doing a good job.

By the sound of it they'll need to be "capable of doing a good job." That's another £3k out of the window.

Lucky to lose 1-0 I hear, disappointing but hardly a surprise in the circumstances.

I thought this had defeat written over it the minute that I heard the draw.
However, I deliberately dont want to sink into depressive mode.

Evesham drew 1-1 with Redditch ... so we still have a "St Georges Lane Team" in the hat.
What a desperate season this is turning into.

Defence, Defence, Defence.
Simple. No confidence within the back row, no real understanding, and at times comical errors.
Wright is actually not that bad. Kept us in the game on a number of occasions and can not be responsible for the goal. A candidate for the eventual retirement of DM.
But the City defenders were just not up to the job. Run ragged on counter attacks. Personally, I see the Trophy as a distraction from league survival....and that is what is our season is now.
Christmas beckons....I hope we arrive in the new year with a glimmer of security.
Great ground, superb hospitality (pie and peas delicious) - even sat next to a Dad of one of their players - great banter - wrong result.
Our away supporters are tremendous.

Yes the defence was again found wanting. The Guiseley forwards must have thought that they'd turned up to a youth match. Price, Khan, Gill and Wright against two big lads. I'm not sure that we won a single defensive header during the whole game an dwe defended for most of the first half. The midfield offered NO cover for the youngsters. Macca,Clegg and Colley were sadly absent. Craig and Troy worked hard on scraps. Our first shot of note came in the 68th minute! Wardy and Clarke both played but I'm not sure of their positions.
Three players worth their places. Craig, Price and Wright.

According to BBC Hereford and Worcester , Michael Wright had another superb game and kept City in it on numerous occasions. The poor kid must be wondering what he has let himself in for with the clowns in front of him, how old is he 18, well as far as I am concerned he is showing maturity beyond his years. Word has it he has been chosen as the England Colleges Goalkeeper, well done young man!!!!

A couple of first rate saves. His punching is a bit unsure and he's not great on crosses YET. He's certainly in the team on merit though. It's good to see a young keeper given the chance.

I did think he had a good game today, which is more than can be said for most of our players. Guiseley were pretty average and we should have been good enough to win, having said that I was expecting to be defeated so the result and the performance were no surprise. I thought Craig was quite good and Troy as well but generally it was lacking in any real heart or ideas or leadership. Why didn't we try to stretch them a bit, make them chase shadows for a while - we just didn't make them work at all.

Sorry Stan, but you have made 14 posts so far, all of them have been singing Wright's praises, without any mention of anything else at all to do with the team, the club or the state of chaos that ensues at the Lane these days. An easy conclusion to make, given that we've all seen him play yet nobody is so overenthusiastic as to post 14 times singing his praises, of course you could even be him for all we know.....

I have not made 14 post specifically about wright all I am trying to do is look on the bright side. I have posted other things on here namely troy wood etc. If you want me to join in with the kick wcfc when there down tribe I can easily do that but I wont resort to it. The bottom line is this you cant make a silk purse out a sows ear the team is just not good enough, we need to encourage talent and look to build to the future. A change of Manager is not going to put things right overnight and city fans need to pull together in a crisis not desert a sinking ship. The Manager writes the team sheet out with a pen not a wand!. WCFC need to get the scouting set up right in other words look a little closer to home rather than having players travel the length and breadth of the country on stupid money. Theres plenty of quality about but you need sometimes to go out in all weathers and find it it wont come to you.

The sooner we confirm a new appointment the better.
This seems to be a poor season but it can be turned round as we not yet half way through the league campaign.
Next Saturday provides a real chance of another home league win (despite Barrow's reecent mini revival) and should we win it and able to appoint a new manager during December we might yet finish in the top half.
Two seasons ago we were just about bottom at this time and had a surging run post Xmas which nearly gave us a play-off spot.
Glad to hear Price and Wright stood out. Hope we can keep Price as the lad has a good pair of feet and to be honest looks potentially a cut above the avreage.

I think we'll be struggling to beat Barrow next Saturday TBH. They have had a good run of late and took Bournemouth right to the wire in the FA Cup. And beat Telford 4-0. No, it'll be a struggle.

If they're tired on a Saturday after playing on the Tuesday, then they've got problems! Either that or our Monday night heroes are the fittest in the league
