He should scare the opposition - looks like an extra from a horror movie; grandson of Vincent?

Sounds like a talented signing. Interesting he's southern based. That must mean one of our other left backs will be moving on?

He's good, this kid, seen him at Glaaster. I would guess it does mean that a flat 4 is the way forward in the interregnum. We may get to see the very best of Paul Barratt as an attacking midfielder now as well.

It does suggest something is afoot, TJ. With nine defenders already on the books (Price making it ten), and Shabs and Burlo returning from injury with Paul Barrett as incumbent, the left-back slot wouldnt have jumped to my mind as the one position needing immediate strengthening. Anyhow, we'll see what unfurls over the next 36 hours and the coming days and weeks.

Well Barratt has been playing far deeper than his natural game, he's a winger more than anything I would have said, says a lot for the quality he posesses that he's looked at home in a deeper role.
Devilish it may be to suggest it, but I'm not sure Burlo is the sort of plater JB likes around.....

Besides I cant bear men with long hair! Maybe I could do him a lovely french plait before each match with a blue and white scrunchie

The pictures don't do him justice. Although not pretty enough for Gobby and Darrell he certainly isn't ugly. However his neck is almost as wide as his head. They called him Mini Savage at Birmingham because of his hair and no nonsense footballing style.

So much for the theory put about by some that JB does not give youth a chance!

He must have changed,on more then one occasion when he was manager,he was asked why he never played certain young players, the reply was not enough experience, and that I know for a fact and not theory, because I was one of those who asked the question.

Yes TR currently at Evesham.
I would very much doubt that this is a Barton signing. More of a Boddy signing I would imagine.

Andy Preece was keen on him and when I was told about the move last week assumed that it was his signing until I saw that Preece had left. BTW, Andy Preece is a dead ringer for a bloke that I work with, so much so that I've printed his picture to take in and show him

Won't Paul Barratt be moving on come January if previous posts on here are correct, hence the need for a left-back?
I, like GC, could swear if you look at the lower of the two Jamie Price pictures it's a clip from a womens' match.
John Barton was quite matey with Tim Harris (the Gloucester manager) wasn't he, in their respective SL days, when TH was manager of Newport? Hence this could be a JB signing. Didn't Tim Harris recommend the guy from Bishop's Cleeve that didn't quite last the pace at Worcester (sorry, forgotten his name!).

I spoke to Paul Barratt and he thought he was only here until January, he was also travelling to every game with Andy Preece so I wonder if transport is a problem for him, don't know if he's a driver or not?

Thought he had some promise about him, but there were a few things not quite right off the pitch that impacted a bit, shall we say. Did ok for Bath when he left us, but then was back at Kayte Lane before he knew it.

And while we are on the subject of new players who's the Aaron Drake mentioned in the report of the reserve game @ Burton? Haven't heard of him before (altho' the same could be said of a few of the players listed); it was just that he got a goal.
