According to todays WN - though it is speculation.
I reckoned on it being Barty, myself. Hadnt thought of Stanty as his assistant.

According to todays WN - though it is speculation. I reckoned on it being Barty, myself. Hadnt thought of Stanty as his assistant. A solid short term replacement I would have thought. I have always rated Barty tactically, it was just that towards the end of his reign, his supply of contacts for decent players ran out. Stanty is the fire and brimstone character to inspire the troops. It would certainly fire up the fans. In the long run though we need a carfully thought out future proof appointment. Hopefully if these two do come on board there will be no need to rush headlong into a snap decision.

I would be surprised if JB took on the caretaker role - but if he did it would show the affection he has for the club.

All the young players can forget it then,if Barton comes back no experience will be the reason for not playing them.

Get the feeling that this season is going to be a battle to keep us in Conf N and only when we know what league we'll be in next season i.e. Conf N, S or Southern Prem ... can the real planning start (manager and players).
Don't really care who comes on board in the short term, just need to stabilise quickly and get some points.

I know John quite well, and feel you may get a surprise when it comes to your younger lads playing! I'd also like to take this opportunity to wish both John, Phil and Worcester City the best of luck for Saturdays game.
