At last!
Let's hope it will have been worth the very long wait.

Soupy you are not wrong! I thought I had woken up in 1998 this morning too.
Seriously though, I really hope that this is not another false dawn and then we have some concrete (excuse the terrible pub) news on the ground relocation at long last.

There will be concrete info, including project timescale. From Thursday onwards a special section will be available on the wcfc website were regular progress reports will be available. This isnt a false dawn, a VERY significant step has been reached in the relocation project process, this really is happening

Will it be in my lifetime I ask myself?
Average life expectancy = 75 minus current age 65 = 10 years
Is that long enough? And where shall I have my ashes scattered?

Tim. Too pessimistic. 75 is average lifetime (I thought it was higher?) but if you have already reached 65 your LE from then on will be much higher. So you should see not only the new ground (2010/11 season on is my guess) but at least 1,000 matches at it by the time you get your congratulatory e mail from Madge!

Dave, might this spell your return to the Lane as a supporter?

At the fans forum Dave Boddy said he hoped that we would kick off the 2009 season at the new stadium. We will find out soon if that is still on the cards.

Dave, might this spell your return to the Lane as a supporter? I will be holding a press conference on Friday Seriously though, if my faith in the board's ability to deliver the stadium (before we are insolvent) is restored by what comes out on Thursday, then I will have no reason to stay away.

I'm betting on Conf S.

Sounds like it might be good news at last. Let's all hope that concise clarity is given regarding the current 800k debt, ownership of any new ground, and full financial details.

When I went to the ground this morning queues were already forming for the press conference. It is rumoured the Salvation Army are handing out blankets and hot soup to those queuing overnight.

Tim, that wasn't a queue forming, it was our defence practising their offside trap !

Isnt the queue on the inside of the gates trying to escape at home these days?
