In today's WN
Cant say I disagree with him about Saturday. We only really upped the tempo in added time at the end of the 90 minutes (or so it seemed).
Where does this leave us though?

Up sh*t creek is where!
The Chairman will probably have budgeted based on us reaching the 4th Qualifying round at least. Going out at the first hurdle (and away from home to boot) will have implications on the playing budget for the rest of the season. A run in the trophy is now more important than ever.
I don't think Preece's job is in any danger, but it is refreshing to hear Dave Boddy criticise the team, when he thinks criticism is deserved.

Well DB is quite right, the performance at Alfreton was truly shocking.
The draw against tamworth wasn't kind and on current form perhaps the result was predictable.
The other comments though are starting Alarm bells ringing.
Has the Gaffer got the confidence of the other board members?
I hope so!!!

Do we need to have one? I think the comments are a serious warning that performances need to improve ere too long coming on top of the remarks made at the end of last season.

I see cracks appearing; inevitable, given the results to date. There appears to be a message for the manager and the team in the Chairman's statement.
Let us hope they heed it.

bit dissapointed in boddy's article the other day, not one word how fantasic the support was at tamworth yes he's right to say the players wern't up to it ,but he should have included the fans, and we are true fans who go away to watch our boys play. come on boddy and give us some thing to be proud of

There certainly appears to be more than a difference of opinion between the Chairman and Manager regarding the Tamworth performance. The Board have backed the Manager with all his signings and although I stand to be corrected, barring McDonnell and Webster of the regular players, all the others have been signed by AP. Out of the only serious money spinning event at the first hurdle and a less than encouraging League position speaks volumes to me, and I suspect the Chairman.
