Sad news. He always seemed to give 100% for WCFC. Happy memories - thanks Norman.

A true legend. The first winger I remember down The Lane and a genuine craftsman in the art of wing wizardry. I met him at Stan Cullis' memorial a few years. He looked back on his days at WCFC and elsewhere (Bromsgrove?) with fondness.
A match for any of the Busy Babes in his day and double FC Cup final goalscorer with Wolves.
I trust WCFC will hold a minutes silence at the next home game.

I was saddened to see this news. I often went to the Deeley home in Avon Road as Norman's son, Andy, was a schoolpal of mine. The Deeleys were also frequent visitors to my home in Tolladine Road. I was too young to know first-hand of his Wolves career but I remember the excitement caused by the news that he was signing for City and I saw him play at St. George's Lane on many occasions. R.I.P.

I likewise saw him play quite a few times; Deeley on the right, McParland on the left if I remember correctly. Unlike a few of the old pros who came to play at City Norman did seem to give it his best shot; some of them were just interested in the money and went thro' the motions. Not Norman. Smashing little chap.
A minutes's silence would be well deserved.
