I was talking to Rob on Tuesday evening (before the Bamber Bridge v Morpeth game) and he mentioned the possibility of City moving over to the Uhlsport Hellenic Football League next season, for geographical reasons. This would of course mean local derbies against Raiders and Malvern Town (if MT are not promoted), but a lot of traveling south west to Bristol, Oxford, Wiltshire etc. What do most of you make of this - a good idea? Or would you rather stay in the Midland Premier League and carry on going north for away games?

Personally I'm happy where we are. Could be longer trips if we swap? Although a Raiders derby would be "interesting,"

I have heard similar noises…
Very personally, I much prefer this league - I live in Derbyshire so the north midlands away fixtures are very handy
Wonder whether the 2 leagues are on a par in terms of standard of clubs; and not sure how I feel about a Raiders head to head given their results this season 😧

The highest City can finish is 4th from bottom, and the highest Raiders can finish is 4th from top (they seem to have faded during the final quarter of the season). So as you point out its probably better to stay in the ML - if thats possible.

There's a strong likelihood that the Midland League will incorporate Cheshire based clubs as the NWC will have too many clubs due to relegation from the NPL and because it promotes 4 clubs from its two Step 6 divisions Consequently those clubs on the fringes of the Midland League Atherstone RC Warwick Studley and City could be moved to UCL/HL All will be revealed by the FA in mid May
