Another disappointing result in a poor display against a impressive Stourport Swifts side who ran us ragged throughout the game who and should of been at least 5 nil up, before they snatched a late winner five minutes from time. I thought the Whitchurch Alport 2 nil victory would of given the players some confidence going forward, but this gave us false hope as Whitchurch were poor on the day . In The Stourport game the defence got ripped apart, the midfield got over run and the attack did not create anything, the side is currently not equipped to compete in this league, the players are mostly to small and lack any physicality to compete against sides like Bewdley and Stourport. I am not sure what has happened to the side from last season who could compete and entertain, but losing six out of eight league games so far this season is not looking good, who is to blame is it Tim Harris recruitment of new players, or is it the players not being good enough or the tactics or players out injured ? . The need to bring a new manager in to sort things out is a matter of urgency , we have already been turned down by Janes the Pershore Town manager, so who will they approach next Chris Cornes at Bewdley or Townsend at Stourport , Mark Owen, Lee Hughes or ask Tim Harris to return . Fans Forum , I went to the forum hoping for a vision for the club going forward, we had the Club board who said vey little , only saying we pay the WFA £12000 a season to rent the ground and the the club lost £6000 last season . The trust board member Mark Sparrow spoke about the need for more matchday volunteers to reduce the clubs need to pay staff on matchdays, the clubs monthly draw, team builder , ideas for fund raising event and promoting the club in the community, Mark spoke well to promote the club and was impressed with his passion for the club. The trust did say the they had looked at five sites for a new home for club since the Perdiswell setback , but had not come to anything . I did think there was a little bit of friction between the trust and the board , so all not well off the pitch , time for unity to get this club through this difficult patch. FA Vase this Saturday Home to Lichfield , another tough game against a high flying side , a need to support the players through this difficult start to the season.
