Maybe an unpopular opinion but I think last night was just ‘one of those games’ that a team can have regardless of how well they are doing. We gave away a stupid breakaway goal, an absolutely ‘worldie’ goal from a free kick (what a strike!) both within minutes and then straight after half-time a stupid penalty. Add that to the fact Bewdley’s defence played superbly. Once we were chasing the game we looked like a team short on confidence but there was no lack of effort and they kept going right to the end. One lesson might be to stop giving away stupid fouls. But I for one am not too downcast. And I know he is here for a short time but Bailey Fuller looked an absolute class above anyone else on the pitch. Keep the Faith, things will turn around.

It is always tough to take these sort of results but cannot disagree with your comments and observations. Maybe lacking a physical presence, these Bewdley boys seemed twice the size or was it their green fluorescent kit. The first goal came from a breakaway following our corner. A shot from Fuller deflected just wide of the far post. From the corner played to the near post their full back mis-kicked, got in a tangle and cleared the ball which was hit forward. Our defender failed to cut out the ball centre field and their forward ran through, 1-0. Second goal was a classy shot direct from the free kick on the edge of the area, top corner. Bewdley competed strongly knocking us off our stride, if they weren't first to the ball they were there challenging for everything. Prior to the first goal we had several efforts blocked, one phase of 3 or 4 in quick succession. Good defending I suppose. Disappointing but one of those games. How many more of those ganes are we going to have. My worry is that the Vase game is very important for keeping the interest going. That said would you put it past City to put together a run in that competition.

I think if this was a blip in a set of reasonable results, you could dismiss it.
But it’s a pattern now. Can’t defend and can’t score. First goal should never be conceded, you can’t set up from a corner which with one clearance leaves you two on one at the back. And then we did it again in the second half but they scuffed the shot.
Graham Allner didn’t win for 8 in a row and we took 9 points in the first 14 before he went. We’ve now not won in 6 competitive games and 9 if you include friendlies. How much longer can this go on? I’m not sure the gaffer knows how to turn it around.
This is basically the same side that finished 4th last year, so what’s happened?

A truly awful performance. No heart, little determination, little idea, little organisation, out thought, out fought, out ran, out muscled by Bewdley Town ! Yes, Bewdley effing Town ! The lack of physicality in the team is alarming. We looked like a team of light weight midgets all over the park, being bullied off the ball all night. It's not a difficult thing to put together a team that can compete in this league. We saw it many times last season. A big defence, two big tackling midfielders, big lad up front, 4 nippy creative runners. Easy ! What have we got ? Seven light weight 5 ft 7 " puny non tacklers ! A powder puff defence, no idea going forward, no defensive organisation ( how many times did one long ball go through us ? ), no plan B.
The results don't lie. Out of the FA cup first game, 6 league games, no wins, 1 draw, 1 goal.
The manager is now on borrowed time - I wouldn't be surprised if he resigned.

** CLUB STATEMENT BY LEE JACKSON Board Meeting to be held on Thursday Evening Worcester City Football Club Board of Directors will meet with Manager Tim Harris on Thursday evening to discuss the current on-field situation. **
If Tim does go (soon), I would imagine it would be by a resignation.
It sounds like the Board will be sticking with Tim for the time being. I doubt they would announce something like this meeting for Thursday & then sack him on Thursday.

A good assessment of the game last night by Stammoo 1 and Simples , a game we had little threat up front and poor at the back and another poor result . It was only 10 months ago we beat Bewdley Town 6-0 in front of 710 , last night the crowd was only 359 , so where has it all gone wrong on and off the pitch ? . Has the manager got things wrong with his decision to release Hall, Maphosa, Gibbons and Tilbury all good players last season, i personally believe his recruitment has been poor and has wasted the clubs team builder money on players who have made the team worse. Last season we had a decent side and finishing fourth , just needed a couple additions and went the season without Dale and Westwood mostly injured. The table does not lie one point in 6 games only scoring 1 and conceding 12 and bottom of the table and out of the FA Cup, when so much was expected from this side for a promotion push. In Contrast the Bewdley manager Chris Cornes joined them in January 2022 after being sacked by Worcester Raiders for historic past crimes , has rebuilt a new side this season and is going well 5th in the table and looked a decent outfit with ex City players Jordan Stoddard, Kyon Evans with the manager born and bred in Warndon and his assistant manager Ryan Rowe also ex City. i personally cannot see any improvement in the seven games this season , in mitigation we have injures to

Continue from previous post , in mitigation we have injuries to Debar, Whitton,Shuck, Bostin, Dale and Demetri Brown which is half a side . I thought Tim would be able to get them more organised at the back , may try playing 3 centre backs with two wing backs , at the moment we are wide open on occasions, the midfield lose all the battles , no quality to create, up front we need a goal to build confidence , no physical presence , players to small to cope with high balls pumped forward . The Board have called a meeting on Thursday to discuss on the field performances , Tim has always been honest with his views, at the moment Tim has no answers to when the side will improve until players are back from injuries. Whatever the board decides the current situation cannot continue as crowds will drop to around 250 and all the hard work done to get us back to Worcester and all the off field work done in the community will go to waste. I will back the board going forward whatever they decide and support the players through this difficult start to the season . Going forward we have another tough home game against 6th in the table Whitchurch Alport, the players need our support to get us a result, a fans forum is taking place after the game , so come along and have your say on WCFC.

That was poor last night to say the least. I would have thought Maphosa and Gibbons were 2 players we definitely needed to keep from last season and Ben Tilbury is also better than most players in the current team. The manager has been unlucky in the fact that he hasn't been able to pick Withington, Shaw nor Dale for most of the fixtures, however we do look a small lightweight side. Jordan Stoddard looked twice as big as any of our players. The crowd of 359 is probably about right for a midweek game, if we'd won you would expect to see 500 for this Saturday's game against Whitchurch, but I don't think it will be that many now. I thought the manager was doing ok last year but it looks as if the wheels have come off. My guess would be Tim will resign before he gets fired.
