Below is the Manager's View article from the Worcester News. Sums it all up very well, IMHO... tinyurl.com/2sedot

The only bit I'm not sure about is the bit about playing teams at the top of the league - if we'd beaten them all and taken points from all of them, would it be fair to say that we are only top of the league because we've beaten teams at the bottom of the league? Because it would be very likely that they'd be below us. If i recall Burscough and Hinckley were both 21st in the league when we played them. And if we'd have beaten Burscough we'd now be above them in the league. Having said that it's a fair assessment, I agree with AP that the attendance situation has got nothing to do with him and the task that he and his players have ahead of them. I agree with the assessment to be made after 10 games, as the next 4 games will be against teams who are not in the top 7 in the league.

The good old 10-game metric.
Well, last year after 10 games (I believe) we had 15 points and no HOME WINS.
So, 3 wins and a draw needed to equal that tally ... you never know with 3 games against teams in the lower half of the table. Would require a couple of victories at the Lane though (DOH!)

I think AP's comments are spot on - we've played four of the top fancied sides in Hyde, Kettering Telford and Harrogate out of 6 games...which makes defeat at Burscough all the more galling and losing to lower teams (no disrepsect to Burscough) has been City's achilles in recent seasons. Judging anything before 10-12 games is madness.

12 points then Mr Preece.
Last year we had 15 points from the first 10 games (though we've had a more tricky start this year ... perhaps?) and we have a home win.
Play-offs already 7 points away ... and let's not mention Kettering and Harrogate heading off into the distance.
I honestly thought we'd turned a corner at Telford, but - like most things football related - I was wrong.
So, what happens next then? League-wise not much until late October, but 2 very tough games v Boston and Southport (do well to get any points from those). FA Cup at The Lamb.
The hopes and dreams for this season could well be dashed early this term.
Good luck next Saturday ... I will be there and - hopefully- we'll be in the hat for the next round.
