Got to say, despite the rain, the performance was top drawer. Nearly didn’t go due to the forecast, but was best 90 mins of the season
Full of intent from the start, 4-1 flattered them. New keeper was solid, although mostly a spectator, and Bailey Fuller looks a tremendous prospect
On the front foot always, long may this continue. Poor conditions for supporters though - soggy and cold!! Surely for £10,000 per season we should get some fkin cover
Come on Worcs FA pull your finger out '

The rain stopped me going. 2 hours of it with no cover was enough to keep me away. What was the attendance?

Geez, no respect to the Old Boys with this thread title.
First goal from Baker was tremendous. Withington put in a good performance in midfield too.

I am afraid the rain put me off as well. That said I know from past experience that these are the sort of conditions when you can get the most exciting performances. Not sure if its the ball zipping across the surface or the fact the rain keeps people moving. Looks as though I need to dig out my wellies or I might end up missing some decent games.

I also didn't go for the same reason as a lot of others. There is no enjoyment whatsoever standing in rain for 2 hours. Probably 100 to 150 down on numbers due to the weather averaging at least a fiver per head. That ground is not fit for purpose, no shelter apart from the two stands and no atmosphere. I know it's the only place available but it is awful.

I enjoyed the game against a physical Stone side with MOM Jamie Smith excellent throughout down the left flank supplying assists for three of the goals.Tim Harris has addressed key area,s in the side with Adam Harrison in goal looking a competent signing and the impressive Bailey Fuller looking good on right flank with his touch and left foot. The signing of Fortune at the centre of defence is another area shored up with Chris Withington having a good game in midfield , where was Adam Birch ?. I personally feel we need more from the front two as the lack of movement. work rate and lack of threat to the opposition, a area the manager may need to have a look at if we going to make a challenge for promotion . But overall a excellent team performance playing some nice football in wet conditions in front of only 267 due weather conditions . The weather is always going have a impact on attendances with the lack of shelter from the elements with sub 300 attendances likely. The board and trust have made improvements at Claines Lane and must be congratulated for their work to the bar area and new entrance in Droitwich Road . We need to know if their is any plans to improve the infrastructure at Claines Lane , new seating stands or covered terrace stand or any on site parking for supporters. I wish to mention the work Richard Widdowson does for the club with his coverage of the games and interviews with new signings and after match interviews with the manager and players.

I know it's the only place available but it is awful. Awful is a bit harsh. The paved area leading from the Claines Lane entrance up to the club house end needs to be wider. Once people are stood along it to watch the game others have to walk on uneven, sometimes sloping, and occasionally slippery grass to get where they want to go. Other than that it is a ground suited for this level of football. If we have ambition for promotion, however, Claines Lane will struggle to be fit for purpose.

After the shambles of recent years the fact that WCFC has any ground at all is a minor miracle and a testament to the hard work of a few dedicated stalwarts. The likes of Rich Widd and co are heroes.

We have very little chance of being promoted anytime soon. I know that a lot of supporters don’t care about this, but I do. It’s disheartening. Maybe a couple of you had a bit of a chuckle over this thread title, but Stone Old Alleynians are our level now. It’ll be them making jokes at our expense soon. Need I remind you all what rhymes with ‘City’?
