A much improved performance to previous matches. Far more energy and purpose to our play, and a lot less going nowhere sideways, and lots more looking and going forward. Fortune Maphosa gave us a much needed physical presence at the back, with some of their players literally bouncing off him - he's a tough boy. Stourport lacked the physicality of previous opposition, stood off us, and City took full advantage, and played them off the park.
Westwood and Sterling were always on the move up front, and were well supported by a very energetic Shaw and a lot more advanced Birch. Westwood looked a finisher, as we created chance after chance. Better decision making in the final third, and we would have scored another 3 or 4 more. We looked tighter at the back, with Sam Hall a calming presence at right back.
An excellent crowd of 490 were entertained. This is the standard that we now have to consistently meet.
