12 games played, of which 9 have been in the league. Let's have a look at what's happened so far.
Plus points - Craig Jones has been superb, Dan Jezeph has saved us points again and Jamie Smith is doing a good job on the left. Azza has been really good at full/wing back too. Sam Hall has shown what he's capable of as well when given the chance. Minus points - Locko clearly doesn't want to be at the club but nobody will take him as it'll cost them. The "level 3 midfield" looks anything but, we improve when Witto comes on. Dadge is finished, Luke English needs to be finished and all creativity seems to have disappeared.
What do we do about it? The obvious solution of sacking Vincent will lead to a player exodus. Flip of that is that it'll mean someone new coming in who will bring his own men. Lots of people would want the City job, but could we trust the board to make the right decision? Carl Abbott would be a front runner if he wanted it, Quent at Swifts would be quietly efficient and bring stability and localism. Sean Geddes would probably love the chance. I'd try and tempt King Carl back personally.

Let's have a look at what's happened so far. why does this need to be done, we as supporters know where we are and i'm sure the management in all parts of the club know where we are & if anything needs to happen they will sort it out, some of us have faith in the club & put lots of time unpaid helping out, lets be positive with the club we love & stop thinking we ar the big club we used to be, we will get there in the end, but things take time.

nowt wrong at all............. although it appears that 6 points out of 27, 9 goals scored in 9 league games, and drab football to watch just seems good enough for some

Or might it just be that we do not have sufficient quality players?
Or are we simply playing too complicated football for this mainly hoof-ball league?

It's not great football as it's failing miserably, exactly as it did last season. It's far too complicated for players who aren't suited to it. It suits the opposition more than it suits us ! it's easy to play against - Playing around in our own half, and on the half way line, just means that we lose possession cheaply time after time. Far too slow getting the ball forward. It's not as though we're creating loads of chances and missing them. We hardly have a shot with a paceless non shooting, non scoring midfield.
Where was Liam Lockett today, our most creative midfield player by a distance ?

Where was Liam Lockett today, our most creative midfield player by a distance ? If liams got any sense then he will go somewhere that appreciates him and he can play his game. Many city fans have been patient with Vincent but enough is enough and it’s time for a change and fresh ideas and new approach. It’s just not happening. The man they should have been appointed is now in charge at today’s victors, Gresley. Carl Abbott was the choice for me and really don’t know who’s out there but I don’t think Quentin Townesend is the answer , although Stourport are doing well at the moment. The true city fans know exactly where we are, we accept where are. I heard a Gresley Fan today say, well they are big in name but that’s about it, and how true is that. Off the pitch has been settled and we are steadily going along nicely. Fans want action on the pitch now to match the optimism and success off it and there is nothing wrong with that.

We are capable of some nice football at times, but we get a bit too “walk it in”, these aren’t generally good teams we are playing. The ball needs to be into the box more, a bit more direct. As it is we tippy tappy it from one side to the other without getting anywhere.
Team selection also seems to be a mystery. Locko, Witto and Okojie, three of last years stars aren’t starting/lasting or have got peed off and left.
For such a well spoke of midfield pair, Turton and Winwood just aren’t showing their pedigree. They’ve not become bad players, but is this mental system not suiting them. Nat Kelly looks like his confidence is shot. Brains temperament is too short at the moment, frustration maybe. But if there is one thing I hate it is seeing City players, “my team” rushing up to the ref to berate him. That’s not Worcester City lads, that’s those “other” teams. Sort it out, get a grip on discipline. That needs to come from Ash.
Surely Ash needs to make a change, I mean what’s wrong with 4-4-2? Am I showing my age in thinking that could do a job still?
In conclusion, we’re not a bad side and play some nice stuff. But this can’t go on indefinitely.

I totally agree about we shouldn’t be continually berating the officials (poor as some of them are) and that DOES come from the top and Ash and Marley are usually at it throughout the game. And what purpose does it serve other than winding up then ref and making them more likely to go against your team? I think of the quiet dignity Carl and Guards used to show on the touchline which gives far more credibility if you do question a decision. I agree that we should be better that those ‘other teams’ and managers and their juvenile histrionics. Discipline comes from the top.

I'm generally not one to call for managers to be sacked but nothing I've seen so far convinces me that Ash Vincent is particularly talented at the job. There again I've no idea who would be but that's what directors are for.

The club haven't appointed a new manager since Richard Dryden back in 2007, that's 13 years of number twos picking up the dregs of their previous incumbents mess and trying to make a fist of it. So you've got the number two, who was a part of the original mess, and endorsed the strategy and players who had failed, and given them the job of fixing it! For the last 10 years! Hopefully this new board will have the foresight to get out into the football world and find the right man for the job.

We should go to Gresley and find out how much Carl Abbott is on and bring him to City. I’m pretty sure he would take the job. I rated him highly when he was at Quorn. Since taking over Gresley they have from strength to strength.

I can't see why not, they've got people on the Board who have been responsible for making key hires in their day jobs for many years.

And telling him he’s not needed! I liked him as a manager but towards the end of his reign he thought he was bigger than the club and that’s not what’s needed right now

The comment ‘ City boss Ashley Vincent insisted there had been minimal damage done to the facilities. “I spoke to the chairman after the game and he had a complaint but if you look at the dressing room it’s falling apart anyway," he said. So he accepts him and his team of staff/players vandalised the dressing room but it doesn’t matter as it was falling apart anyway. End of the line Ash sorry, if you have any self pride you would walk as I doubt very much you will be pushed.

Brilliant, look forward to seeing news of the new manager in due course then. I wonder if the old Board had the know how to select a new manager, we never got to find out. 10 years of rinse and repeat of something that was failing. If and when the new Board do have to make such a decision, I'm sure they'll know how to do it.
