Up and running. Even first half, City unlucky to go in a goal down courtesy of a cracker of a shot. Loose ball in midfield but still had a lot to do. Second half City creating chances, the visiting keeper being made to work and up to the task. Perhaps needlessly conceded the penalty with Brain going away from goal. Lots of shots on target and the keeper holding on to most of them. Their man of the match. Early goal in the second half got the team moving forward.
Whether it was the conditions or not City moved the ball forward, quicker and with purpose. Must have got as many shots on target as in all their previous home games combined.
With Autumn well and truly upon us and heavier and greasier surfaces it will be interesting if the early pacemakers can maintain their form.
Performance and result just what was needed. Umbrella also doing its job. Good evening all round.

Agreed - perhaps Ashley Vincent reads our posts !
Far less pointless going nowhere, playing around at the back, where the welcome return of Sam Hall made us look more assured and less frantic.

That was so much more than three points last night. Potentially thirty points over the season in terms of self-belief and spirit. They know they can do it now.
