If Heather had someone who can shoot straight, this would have been a much easier win for them. Although we had a few chances, we can't argue with the result. Although the (non) backpass, seemed pretty straightforward that it was a backpass? Left at the whistle so didn't see the "celebrations" of Heather.

The “celebrations” by the Heather players and staff involved running up to the City fans and taunting them with hand gestures and sarcastic applause and knee sliding on the grass. Then when the City players were high-fiving and handshaking them I saw Heather players pushing and shoving them away. It continued as they came off the pitch, taunting the City fans around the tunnel. I have never seen anything like this, had it been a bad tempered game that Heather lost you might just about find some justification for it. BUT THEY WON!!!!!? How psychologically damaged as a group do you have to be to behave in this way when you have just won? How can their staff and Board think this is acceptable behaviour? It wasn’t even as if the City fans or players had given them a hard time. It was just inexplicable, no sportsmanship or magnanimity. When you see such a lovely guy as the City Chairman running around the ground breathing fire and so incensed he can hardly contain himself then you know a line has been crossed. The last time I looked using threatening and abusive words and behaviour and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace were criminal offences (and I think it all may have been recorded on video). So far as the game is concerned I thought Heather narrowly deserved their win but clearly culturally club is rotten to the core.

I think Heather will always enjoy putting one over us after the 5nil fa cup radio interview. I thought we showed a lack of discipline today. Got over involved in arguing with opposition and ref during the game. Hopefully we won't have got any more bookings in the scenes at the end.

Their number 5 seemed to be the main culprit in taunting the home fans after the match. He was after causing trouble. But what a couple of dire teams - and they are at the top of the table. The unsavoury scenes at the end should not distract from the fact that, in my opinion, that was one of the most inept displays I have ever seen from a Worcester City team. In front of a 'crowd' of 290. At least I was there to show my respect to 'Our Arry' during the minutes silence. That excuse of a football match cost me 4.5 hours of my life and two gallons of fuel. I think that's the end of my season - and Claines Lane probably won't entice me back.

A poor game, where we were generally outmuscled, and out thought, particularly in midfield. Brown tried hard up front, but Brain and Adaggio didn't get a kick. Joe Hawkins at the back was our best player by a distance. If Heather could shoot and head straight they would have scored four, whereas I can only remember Brown's long range shot crashing back off the crossbar as our only real effort on goal. Heather do what they do well, and fully deserved to win. They don't over elaborate in defence, defend well, tackle hard in midfield, and look to play their football in the opponent's half, which as a tactic is usually more than good enough in this league.
As for their celebrations, noisy handbags really - I've seen a lot worse by the " cage " at SGL. Perhaps if we'd just walked off at the end, and not hung around to get involved ?
Heather are a pretty classless bunch, but they came and did on a job on us, and let us know about it. Their number 5 was the main antagonist, and whilst he did loudly tell everyone that that's the third time they've beat us this season, he wasn't wrong was he ? Perhaps if we beat them, he wouldn't have quite so much to say.

Heather St Johns FC? What a disgrace to the MFL, football in general, and the Leicestershire village they represent.
Not only did we have their No.6 feigning an injury and then smirking to the crowd once the ref had been ‘conned’ but he also decided to lower his shorts to reveal a bare ar$e to the crowd (and in view of the assistant referee).
The final whistle ‘melee’ was indeed a bit of handbags but it was noticeable that their goalkeeper quickly stepped in to remove their no.5 from the action probably in the belief that, as he had already received a yellow card, he may have received further punishment from the ref.
He needn’t have worried though as the match officials just stood meekly on the half way line and didn’t intervene.
This lack of intervention may well have spurred on their players (in particular no.s 5 & 6) to move towards the crowd gesticulating and taunting with an attempt to provoke reaction by some sort of pitch encroachment – thus landing WCFC in trouble with the league?
As for their gestures, I’m sure both are real experts at, what a judge might call, amongst other things, a ‘single handed sexual act’ .
I hope that Steve Goode reports this incident to both the MFL and the FA. We, and football, are trying to encourage youngsters into watching grass roots games and these youngsters should not have to see scenes like these!
By the way, don’t rely on the match officials lodging a report.....the referee was inept at the final whistle.
As an aside, had this been at Claines Lane, the situation may have got uglier.......I’m sure it was only the presence of the advertising hoardings that stopped spectators ‘getting at them‘.
As for the match itself, it was a poor game played in unpredictable gusty wind. I expected more from Heather as they are pushing for the top spot, but probably recognised that City had more than one eye on next weeks Vase game and didn’t get stuck in for worry of injury.....plus they probably didn’t want to give any ‘secrets’ away to ant watching Atherstone reps – lol.

I have been sent the footage but awaiting the referees report before reporting to the league Rob & Mark both videoed as well, also agree with dodger on the sexual side, i believe that this should be sent to the police as its not something that should happen on a football pitch especially in front of children, as for the Ref he was a waste of space & did not help matters during the game or at the end.

The whole shameful display started with the No. 6 screaming and doing a double-fisted celebration in Adaggio's face. The whole incident was childish, pathetic, un-called for and disgraceful. I agree, it was aimed at provoking the Worcester platers and fans to react in a way that would get the club into trouble. Well done to everyone for showing sufficient restraint in such circumstances. I hope that small time, small minded club, full of village idiots have the book thrown at them. Anyone but them to win the league.
Btw bj I don't recall your threat to stop following the club after the 9-0, 6-0, 3-2 v Newark wins and the victory over Cov Utd.

I remember doing that years back with the Tony McMillan spitting incident! I'm trying to think who it was who got a face full in the crowd, it might have been Sheddy (aka Davina (aka pedant)). I believe he got a ban and fine from the FA.

Respect #weonlydopositive Fans for diversity As a supporter-owned club, we are all equally responsible for upholding the reputation of Worcester City FC. We are all ambassadors of the Football Club wherever we go. The Football Club would like to kindly ask that supporters attending on the day are conscious of representing the club with respect, good-nature, friendliness and of course, passion. i think this statement should be the same for all clubs, if fan owned or not, & their players were not, so i hope the FA act accordingly with them once they have read statements & watched the videos...

Interesting that Heather St John's have the 'FA Respect' logo on the front of their match programme. Here's some of the points expected from Adult players under the FA Respect code:- - Display and promote high standards of behaviour
- Never engage in offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour
- Never engage in bullying, intimidation or harassment
- Win or lose with dignity.
Maybe the Heather management should hold a refresher session on the code!

Is is worth all this fuss? It's certainly going to store up ill-feeling should be forced to play them next season. Unless something dramatic happens we wont play them, South Normanton, Long Eaton, Newark or Selston as the FA are due to tighten the league and a new league up that neck of woods introduced meaning if they dont go up or down this year then they will move sideways

Heather have today been involved in some scenes towards the end of the game at home to Cov Utd, which the ref has abandoned in the 90th minute after a brawl involving both sides, both benches and spectators. Was a very feisty game too with reds and several yellows. Even Heather have admitted there were ugly scenes. Let’s see how super proud they are now when they get the book thrown at them.
