Is this game at Tamworth a 3.00pm kick-off? England have a Euro Qualifier that day and quite often kick-off times are changed when England play, also I think England's "Egg Chasers" play their 1st World Cup game on the same afternoon, which should not effect our game kick-off time but you never know!!

Parking at the ground is £1 cars.
Better off parking at the Snowdome, which is opposite the ground.
Pubs and town centre are a 5 minute walk away.
Is Nick Colley fit?

Sod's law says he will be fit and he will score the only goal.

All sorted for that weekend. Off a flight from Dublin into East Mids at 9am, bus to Derby, train to Tamworth, bit of breakfast somewhere along the way.
Then onto the Beer Festival at 11am - meet The Mooney there no doubt, then onto the match a bit later on.
Darrell - I trust you'll be there early on the Saturday?

Surely City wouldn't select Nick Colley even if he was fit given the past history; it would be a very provoking gesture when we have others available.
I know it's in the past but football fans have selectively long memories.

I know it's in the past but football fans have selectively long memories. I don't think for one second that Andy Preece would make team selections based upon the thoughts and issues of the fans of the opposing side. Anyway Nick has already played for us at Tamworth once before. Its AP's side, he'll name the side that he expects to give the best result.

I'm not aware that Nick has played there since he left Tamworth under a cloud. I think the circumstances are quite exceptional and I'm sure AP would think about it. As he's injured he may not have to worry though.

As far as I know, Nic hasnt played at Tamworth since he joined us - whether he did for Stafford Rangers, I do not know. City played there in the C? Cup, when we lost 3-1, but Nic wasnt in the squad.
I believe AP said at the forum that he wouldnt take anything into account other than team/squad factors, which is entirely how it should be.

He has never played against us since leaving the club. A lot of people have got over it at our club but with others there is a deep hatred for the man that will never be forgiven.
Anyway enjoy your visit. beer festival is on if thats your cup of tea
EDIT: Just to add to that, the game is segregated so you will not be able to access the bar however afterwards if any of you fancied watching the England game there is a bar across the dual carridgeway from the snowdome adjacent to the bowling alley which has big screens all over the place (5 min walk from ground max)

It was the Carthium Cup 3rd round tie which we lost 3-1. Leon scored our goal. Nick Colley was not in the side. The team was McDonnell, Volosanovs, Hoyle, Woolley, Gardiner, Snape (60' Warner), Lyons (60' Edwards), Stanley(75' Smith), Kelly, Webster, Warmer. Unused subs: Atkinson, Skyers.

Seems we didn't need any luck (well perhaps the teeniest bit when Danny turned that shot against the woodwork).
Well done City; this should go some way to calming everybody's nerves (certainly mine) and sets us up nicely for next weekend's double-header.
