It's taken until now for my fingers to thaw out - boy, was it a bit cold ! A freezing midweek night resulted in a freezing midweek crowd of 167 hardy souls.
Another very hard working team display resulted in a comprehensive 3-0 victory. I don't know what I was expecting from Romulus who were in 7th and 3 points off the top, but we outplayed them for the whole game. Playing a 4-3-3 formation on the night helped, as we always had bodies up front, whilst the midfield three of Lockett, Rowe, and Withington ran their socks off all night.
Jones and Hall again marshalled the defence well, limiting Romulus to few chances and shots. Brain and Adaggio who looked a lot sharper mentally, worked well together up front. I just hope that both Brown who was replaced by Harrison who was then also replaced, only suffered minor knocks. We moved the ball around well utilising the spaces especially in the second half, and tried to maintain a high tempo despite a whistle happy over fussy ref.
