With all the rain, is there a pitch inspection? Or is it all fine?

Yes sorry, was told that pitch was perfect at 8am.
Myself and Ash went over for 10.30 to have a look at organised a local referee to come an inspect for 11am.
Ball unable to bounce in goal area and a patch in the middle.
With more rain due from 3pm, even if it had been on then I'm unsure if game would have finished.

After a few wrong decisions over the last few years, I'm glad you called it off with plenty of time to spare.

Should City win the battle of Dunkirk on Wednesday night, We'll be at home again in the next round against Shepshed Dynamo or Cadbury Athletic, who play Tuesday.
Likely outcome is Shepshed, who moved sideways to the United Counties League from the MFL this season. So far in the league, they have played 11, won 11, scoring 35 on the way... conceding just 1 goal.

Excellent performance last night, really good to see the lads playing with some fire in their bellies and no little quality. Locko destroyed them with three assists, but for me the stars of the show were Cainesy, Witto and...drum roll...Kurtis Mewies, who didn't put a foot wrong in his 45 minutes and completely bossed the midfield, giving Locko the time on the ball to work his magic. Demetri also did really well and deserved his goal, pity about the fluffed sitter but we've all done it. Really good to see how they responded to recent criticisms and turned in a top display.

I'm not a Mewies fan, but I have to agree - didn't see him put a foot wrong in the second half. Whittington again here there and everywhere; he could do with some midfield assistance though.
I also agree with the comments about Demetri, who worked his socks off and scored a class goal: pity about the glaring miss, but he didn't have much time to think about it. Locko again excellent: how are we going to hang on to that lad?
That's four rounds we've got through; if we could just get past Shepshed and into the last 32 I think that gives you exemption to the 2nd round the following year, but with their record it'll be a tough ask. Still, it's a cup-tie and it's 11 v 11, so we have a chance. I'm assuming the 3rd round tie will be played on the Sunday (1st December).
