No playing pathway to the first team from the reserves Wcfc will eventually lose the best youngsters to clubs that will play them. The young right back that played, keasey I think his name is plying his trade in a Coventry first team in div2 motm performances and doing well Ruddock to heather, Willis on bench getting 20 mins and the odd start #usethemorlosethem!

Thanks to this poster for absolute comedy gold.
In the last two years the Club has used more than enough youth, three of them have stayed at this level because they are good enough.
Willis Moran Lockett Dayus Mole Keasey Mundle Lewis Brett Harper Allen Fedotovs Owusu Yeomans Chiwara Ruddock
I think City fans who go every week will agree out of that list, the three at the Club now are those who made the biggest impression

I think you will find that they where only bought through when the first team were short of players, and only 3 out of that massive list have stayed. As I said great path way NOT. You must be one of those fans that think Wcfc are a big club ๐๐๐

Of that large list above, only a few showed in their appearances that they were ready for sustained first team action, Josh, Locko and Riley. Bam Bam could yet be, and I always thought Sam had some promise, but none of the others showed themselves to be first team ready. Ethan showed some great skills but also some lack of football judgement. Whether it was nerves or a step too far for the others I don't know, but none of the others showed enough for me on their apprearances to make me think they were going to nail down a place. Was very surprised that Riley slipped through the net at the end of last season as I thought he showed real quality and a positional maturity you don't often see at that age. Honestly thought he would go on and become a regular for years to come.

Point proven, three are left, just so happens to be the best three.
The youth system is no better now than 20 years ago

But it probably should be. We're in the Midland Football League. Surely the step up to the first team is more achievable than at any stage in the last 20 years? Does it say something about the quality of young footballers in Worcester that none are seemingly good enough to make that transition?

Guess Aaron Brett wasnโt good enough either ๐ค massive loss to Wcfc!
OR possibly the youth arenโt given a good enough chance to secure a place. And no the odd start for cup games and 15-20 mins at the end of games is not enough to establish yourself.
Almost forgot Ethan Moran who absolutely took of defenders apart sadly also not good enough, right?!
