Very poor first half hour. Wind having no discernable effect. 3-0 down with the potential of a cricket score. Don't know what the retained list is, but no one seems to playing for a place in next season's squad.

The result and performance today just shows how inconsistent we have been and the lack of improvement is a worry, how many of this squad deserve a chance next season ? . Sad to see Mat Birley make his last appearance for the club, who has been a good servant for the club over the years, also sorry to lose Sam Gilder who has decided to retire, wish both well for the future. I see that the top two in the league finished with 79 points with Ilkeston Town just nicking the title on goal difference from Walsall Wood , we finished in 11th on 52 points , 27 points behind the top two, what went wrong since we beat Ilkeston Town 3-0 ?. It seems the board and chairman think this management duo have done a good job and deserve another season in charge, if things on the pitch don't improve next season the gates will plummet as the dire hard 300 do not want to watch another season like this one.
