Well it wasn't pretty, it wasn't a great performance but we've won a trophy! Credit to Dave Reynolds for scoring two goals on his return as well as slotting home his penalty in the shootout. Some other really well taken penalties by both teams - I don't think either keeper got a touch on any of them.
By the way City Reserves won the Urn in 2006, beating Lye Town 2-0 in the final at Aggborough. City boss Andy Preece fielded a number of first team players in that game as several of the reserves were ineligible having already played in the Senior Cup the same season.

Poor game, poor performance aside from the last 10 minutes. The side is very inconsistent at the moment, two different teams seemed to play against Shepshed and the same again last night. Very frustrating because as they showed from 80 minutes on, they’re too much for most teams to handle when they get the wind up them.
I’m surprised the Studley 4 stayed on the pitch and didn’t even get a booking after his tirade in the second half. But the ref did reasonably well I thought apart from that.
Great pens all round, but Gilder was two or three yards off his line when the ball was struck. I can’t help think if he’d have saved one, the ref would have made them take it again.
And why did city fans give Jordan Harrison such a slating? Yes he had a poor game, but he was distraught after coming off and I can’t help thinking that shouts from a certain city fan are just going to kill his confidence. He’s a confidence player, and he’s young, as are the rest of the team. Getting on their backs like that will not suddenly improve his form, believe it or not.

Totally agree with you Steve, Jordan is a confidence player and the stupid things that come out of some peoples mouths is ridiculous, same shouts at Stodds and a few others last night. I put our poor home form down to these type of comments sometimes also

I don't know what comments were made last night but,as a long standing Brooksider,I would imagine it was something of nothing in comparison!

Congratulations to Snapper, Ash and all the team for bringing some silverware to the club, it was another inconsistent performance against a decent Studley side who were unlucky not to win the tie. Dave Reynolds won the tie with two goals and looked sharp in the box, we looked poor at the back and Jordan Stoddart struggled with his lack of pace and got caught out on a couple of occasions, Our captain on the night Liam Lockett had a decent game and always caused problems with his jinxing runs, sub Ethan Moran showed some nice touches and showed he is one to watch in the future. A good turn out by the City supporters, but most would of been disappointed by what was on show on the night. Hopefully this will give the side some confidence to go into remaining fixtures and to impress the management team to keep some of them on for next season. If you look at the league table stats it shows we have scored as many goals as most of the top six, but its the goals conceded that's a area which needs addressing, we need a solid defence and require two centre backs to achieve this, the current midfield is lightweight and sits deep, so always a big gap between them and the forwards. We cannot afford another season like this one, and if it wasn't for that unbeaten run, we would be much lower than our current 12th position.

Reference Dave Reynolds won the tie with two goals, the tie was decided by a penalty shoot out , which Worcester City won on the night. Correction.

Unfortunately there's one youth with a very loud voice who shouts a load of rubbish at the players, and he attends every match. Doubt he knows the difference between a football and a golf ball. I don't know how the players keep their cool when he's gobbing off. It's embarrassing. City have always had more than their fair share of whinging bastards, who seem to think the team have a divine right to win 5-0 every week, but you tend to notice the shouts more when there's only a few there.
