A much improved performance and a confidence boosting victory for our management team and players, against a rough neck opposition, who did whatever they needed to do to stop us playing. The signing of Aaron Roberts will a key signing, who had a good game organising the back three and keeping Mcfarlane and Androh in check from venturing forward and leaving gaps at the back. Jordan Harrison who was my man of the match, never stopped running and added to his tally with two goals, was involved in a nasty incident at the end of the game when he got flattened and a Wulfrunians player attempted to lift him off the pitch. The referee Charlie Dickens was one of the worse I have saw at this level and seem to book every challenge made and completely lost control of some nasty tackles. The players need to produce this type of performance at home for the long suffering supporters and be more consistent , in this game at 3-1 we looked comfortable then conceded a soft goal and had to hang on for a much needed victory. Their is plenty of room for improvement, and the need to assess the squad and see who they keep for next season, another centre back, a experienced midfield and a goal scorer would be on my wish list. It was a nice set up at AFC Wulfrunians , a community club with a nice seated stand with a bar at the back of the stand, wouldn't mind something like this for our club. Not forgetting Josh Willis who came on as a second half substitute to head home our second goal. well we still have a night out on 11th April for the cup final against Highgate United at Evesham Fc, it would be nice to see a good turn out to support the players to give us something positive to take into next season.
