As a minor shareholder, I fail to see the purpose of trying to maintain a Worcester City FC fielding a team of alehouse level players miles beyond our City limits. It seems from afar that increasingly, the childishly titled Worcester Raiders are vying for publicity rights locally and have certainly got their albeit modest ground plans very well advanced without all the drama that surrounds everything their City counterparts attempt. Indeed, I`m surprised that the Raiders (sounds like a Western movie ) haven`t, by now, adopted a more serious sounding title and challenged the sorry Bromsgrove version of WCFC for outright Worcester football bragging rights ! I am pretty sure there stupid badge is in violation of copyright as well Don’t they have some stupid American football logo in the badge. Oakland raiders is it

From last season, we've lost quality players such as Birch, Hayward, Tomkinson, Hughes, Weir - a team that probably should have got promoted. The replacements this year have been much weaker but hopefully on a lesser budget. Even during the unbeaten run (apart from the Ilkeston home match) we looked distinctly average and I predicted top 8 at best. Since that run ended the performances have fallen off a cliff. I agree we can't expect to win the league but we should expect more than we are getting. I just couldn't see what we were trying to do against the 10 men at Stourport. There was no width and no pressure. How the hell can going down to 10 men be in the favour of Stourport as the manager claims - it defies maths?! I shall continue to attend as there are a lot of good people putting in a lot of effort at the club and deserve our support but by God the team is testing that resolve - If I can survive the freezing miserable game against Wolverhampton SC I think I can survive anything! I'm sorry but its just bonkers for any manager to say that going down to 10 men ever favours a side. If you can't figure out how and where to utilize a one man advantage on a football pitch, or any other sporting arena for that matter, you're struggling in your job as a manager. As Highbury says..do the maths! There's always a spare man somewhere! We had ten men for the entire first half, the way Balders played!

I used to go to every ‘home’ game and the occasional away game. This season I’ve been once and that was the game that ended the unbeaten run (Khalsa?). That was enough for me, sorry as I am to say it. I look out for the result every week, follow the updates on the WN website but I’m not hearing anything that’s reawakening my enthusiasm.

I missed one home game (Hyde August 2007)in more years than I care to remember and did 95% of away games too.I too look out for City results and still try to get to a few games to see the good friends I have made over the years but it is a soul destroying experience.

Well, today they put some of the doubters in their place, with a 2-0 win away from home; so all is not lost after all!
Haven't been able to go to a couple of recent games, as my wife is seriously ill, but I'll be back for more - pub league or not. The same "pub league" which Hereford won and went on to greater things! And Alvechurch and Bromsgrove Sporting too.
At the moment the very survival of the club is the priority.

Yes a good win today,I see that Ilkeston could only draw at the Swift's.City now 11 points behind with a game in hand. It's not over yet

Very convincing win today, early goal from Jamal Lawrence after a Foz through ball after 64 seconds, then a Foz header from a Locko corner ten minutes into the second half. Resolute and committed throughout, new signing Callum MacFarlane showed up well and Tom Fishwick did well when he came on for injured Stods. Grant Horton and Locko were excellent.

Typical that I didn’t go yesterday and I heard they finally played like a team Hmmmm strange that they play like a team when Baldwin was on the bench. Keep that bench warm Baldwin!

Selection was down to the rather awful pitch. Balders would have struggled to play on that surface, more ruts than a muddy car park. Jamal Lawrence came in and we used his pace to great effect with balls over the top for him to run onto.

Stourport Swifts are the in form team with a 4-2 win over Walsall Wood followed by a 4-1 win over high flying Gresley Rovers and now are Third in the league. We play them away on boxing day at the Walshes Meadow not a happy hunting ground for City in recent years.

A decent performance and three points against a in form Stourport Swifts, City went into the game without three players due to injury and suspension and even had a goal disallowed, a impressive start by caretaker manager Craig Jones. Watched the game on live streaming which was ok for most of the game froze after the 2nd goal and packed up for the last ten minutes, thank god for twitter for the final score, missed this game due to unable to get a ticket. Still feel we need a experienced manager at this level to bring the best out of this current squad for this season with a eye on rebuilding for next season. I do not know how many candidates have applied for the job, someone like Gary Hackett the ex Stourbridge manager would a good choice, the board need to get this appointment to be the right one as Snape and Vincent were appointed without interviews and just stepped up from assist manager roles. In this league its about the two the penalty areas, you need a solid defence and someone who can get you twenty goals a season, its small margins but areas we need to improve on. Happy New year to all at Worcester City and its faithful supporters.

I think you've been on the Bailey's a bit too much Mark, this is an old thread that started two years ago!

We might be able to invest in some more equipment when we are able so Thanks to the 7 people who made a donation to the Live Stream from the several hundred people watching (and also thanks to the other 20 people who regularly make a donation.)

Hi Richard, Thanks for the excellent coverage of the game , the volume was very low throughout the game, first time viewed live streaming and was impressed with the quality as unable to get a ticket for the game. I just posted on a old Stourport Swifts post as no new thread created, jupu not been on the baileys yet.

Having paid for a season ticket which I can't use (problems with my wife's condition) I don't feel like donating when I do watch the livestream: I hope that's all right.

Having paid for a season ticket which I can't use due to there being no home games, I donate for every live stream on away games as I would rather my entry fee go to this than what would have been the situation, i.e. the money going to the home club. Let's face it, if we had been going to the away match we would have been paying travel plus entry fee, why not bung that entry fee towards the club providing this facility? Not exactly bank-breaking, is it?
