A snippet in that article from Marcus Jones the Conservative MP for Nuneaton
"If we don't have a club in the town then it rips the heart out of the community," Jones said.
Food for thought for our Mr Walker?

Didn’t Ellis Deeney leave City to go there making comments about Rats and sinking ships?

I don't think so. He went to Tamworth.

Ellis Deeney joined Tamworth after his departure from Worcester City and is now at AFC Telford, sad times at Nuneaton with wages not being paid and losing 6-0 at home yesterday. A club who sold their old ground and moved to a new one, had to reform a new club as Nuneaton FC as money troubles saw the end of Nuneaton Borough.

Nuneaton had their captain, former City keeper Cameron Belford, sent off after 63 minutes, by which time they were three down and had used all their subs. So if anyone thought things couldn't get any worse, they did. Another former City player, Dior Angus, was also in their starting eleven.
