Very pleasant day out Saturday - caught the City game in between T20 semi and finals at Edgbaston!
Odd game really - ended up a comfortable win but a game we could easily have lost. Two outstanding saves first half from Jezeph were vital. We were far from convincing but then you always felt we could step up a gear.
Spent most of the second half talking to the chap who runs their club. They lost all but one of their players from the side that got promoted last year, so there has been a rebuild from scratch (and a new manager). The fella also does pretty much everything at the club - maintains the pitch, does the building work you could see ongoing on the side etc., and he puts some of his own money into the club to keep it going. His devotion was impressive!
