Apologies if I've missed any announcement or comments, but are WCFC not involved in the WSC this year?
I notice that Alvechurch play Kiddy on 17th July.........listed (by Alvechurch) as the WSAC semi-final.

The Reserves have played in the Urn before, but never the first team. Presumably it isn't a pre-season competition.
This is probably the first time in our 116 year history that we haven't completed in the WSC.

I tried to find out how entries for the Urn are determined but what I found raised more questions than answers.
Under the WFA CUPS RULES & FORMS page on the Worcestershire FA website I could only find the rules of the Urn competition and could not see the rules for the Senior Cup.
The extract from the Urn rules says:
5. Eligible Clubs
a) Senior clubs [where are these defined?] in the County not eligible [what are the eligibility rules?] to compete in the Senior Invitation Cup but who meet the entry criteria [what are the entry criteria?] laid down from time to time by the Council shall compete.
b) Other clubs [non-Senior clubs presumably?] which meet the entry criteria may be invited to compete by the Association.
c) The Council may reject the entry of any club.
Apologies if the answers are obvious but I would appreciate hearing them.

Note the WSC is an invitation competition. Maybe we weren't invited this year.

I was told last season that wsc was for clubs at step 4 and above. Not sure if this is right ? Are sporting in it as they played the urn last season. We played in the wsc last year due to it being pre season and arranged before we took the 3 league drop

Incorrect, the drop occurred well beforehand.

Maybe the suggestion of 'going amateur' swayed the decision by the WFA not to invite us?

Or maybe the fact that Bromsgrove Sporting are now more "senior" than Worcester City.

I see Alvechurch thrashed Kiddy 6-0 in the semi-final match!
Obviously the Harriers fielded a 'weakened' team so maybe shows their commitment to the competition?

A competition that we don't compete in.

And in the Urn City are currently having a whale of a time, leading Bromsgrove 3-0 at half-time.

But ended up shipping 2 in the second half to make things less comfortable than required.
Concerning that we aren’t closing out games properly that should be comfortably won.
