Christ I feel old - I've seen them all !
Although I must have seen him, I can't recall Peter Green from 94/95. The great Barry Williams, 40 goals from central midfield just stands out. What a player !

The one that stands out for me is John Inglis: didn't realise he had scored that many and for so long. I would agree though that Barry Williams's 40 from midfield is perhaps the best of the lot: I wonder how many of those were rocket free-kicks (never seen anyone else hit them quite so hard).

Well done to Dave Reynolds scoring 30 goals is a real achievement. It is great to see his name alongside those other great goalscorers from the last 40 years. I am slightly biased and from a bit further back the goal scoring feats of City’s Alex Hair are worth recalling. He holds club goal scoring records in clubs from Scotland, the Republic of Ireland, Wales and England. In Scotland he scored 96 goals in one season for his Junior club and he is the only player to have scored five goals in a competitive match against Glasgow Rangers. Here is a link to an article on his career. There are two further links in the last paragraph that will take you to a summary of his career and his career statistics. Both include his time at City. www.scottishsporthistory.com/sports-history-news-and-blog/goals-wherever-he-went-the-alex-hair-story

Going back a bit further, how many goals did John Fairbrother score in his two seasons with City? I know there was a dispute in his first season about a goal that may have been his or not.

Going back a bit further, how many goals did John Fairbrother score in his two seasons with City? I know there was a dispute in his first season about a goal that may have been his or not. According to good old 'Wiki', he managed 87 goals in two seasons in all competitions, of which 51 were scored in the league. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_FairbrotherDodger

Apparently Peter Green came in from RC Warwick, scored a few goals, and then got sacked by the club for playing Sunday morning football! He had a pony-tail too! I still have absolutely no recollection of him !

Here he is, you'll have to imagine they ponytail...A re-check tells me he was joint top scorer with Mark Whitehouse. Attachments:

Ah yes, I STILL don't remember him!! I'd have seen him score every one of his 9 goals, but I can't remember one of them. Now Roy Greene?........thats a completely different kettle of fish!!

Peter Green was a decent player, remember him scoring the winner on a foul night at King's Lynn.
