Pretty typical end of season fare against a team that played last night and lost 5-1. Most of our team looked poor, although the bobbly pitch probably didn't help. Only Hayward played with any real passion - the rest looked like they had just turned up to get a game. It was his sheer willpower that got us level. Four without a win now.

Stourport apparently named an entirely different XI tonight to yesterday's fixture, they'd borrowed the Harriers development sqad, or something like that. Was a poor game tonight though, crap pitch but not the best showing overall.

At least the Board will be happy with a point in our quest for 4th !

I think 4 without a win is probably a realistic view of how the results will go next season (if there is one). We are only 4th in the table now because of the performances of players that are no longer associated with the club.
Wasn't Hampson's view that WCFC need to be at this level anyway for 'sustainability'?

Watching the game last night brought home the depth the club has fallen on and off the pitch, the standard of some of the players on the pitch the lack of ability and desire was painful to watch. If this is the best side we could put out, it sends alarm bells out for next season and we looked at best a mid table side . We were chasing the game and looking to nick a win , but no sign of the experienced Mark Danks , Snapper needs to explain what is going on, if Mark has no future let him go as it seems their is a problem. The performance shows why the club is in 4th, a season of inconsistent performances, with the loss of Lee Hughes, Brad Birch. Tyler Weir, Wayne Thomas and Nathan Vaughan after the chairmans Amateur comment caused a rush for the exit door, didn't help the clubs cause. I just hope we can retain Smith, Stoddard, Forsth, Hayward, Reynolds and Tonkinson ,just need to get the best squad together on the budget available. Is Snapper the right man to lead the club next season ? Or is it time for a change ? .

Regarding Snapper, I am sure he knows far more about football than I do so I won’t comment on his managerial ability other than I think he’s done a decent job, but you’ve got to give him a huge thank you for putting in so much effort and commitment to the club when he’s had the rug pulled from under him by the Board. It cannot be easy to stay motivated and try to get the best out of the players with all the uncertainty swirling around all of the time. He should definitely be asked to stay on next season. In any case who in their right mind would want to take the job on? ? (Heeley Out! Remember those jokers who used to shout that?)

I was thinking last night, if Snapper did move on - and to be honest, if he has ambitions in management, he needs to be at a club with ambition - it would give the Board a challenge that, to date, they have never faced. They'd have to appoint a brand new manager from outside of the football club. In Hampsons time, he inherited Richard Dryden (who he referred to as Richard Drysden on every occasion) and when he was fired, his assistant Carl Heeley stepped in, and when Carl moved one, his assistant John Snape stepped in. I suppose they could call in Lee Hughes?

I suppose they could call in Lee Hughes? I was thinking the exact same thing... Never once taken a bold, decisive decision around the manager position. Cannot fault Carl’s record of course - so put that down to an inadvertent master stroke?! But how on earth do you know what good looks like if you have zero knowledge of the league, coaches, managers. Even despite the dire position, I am sure good aspiring coaches would be attracted to Worcester. And that’s not to denigrate John Snape - does a decent job in tough, often bizarre, circumstances.

Yes, but Snape was an add on to Heely era, best man at his wedding, heely's best mate, he was a shoe in, not the fans choice.
Seriously snape should go, let's be fair, he is a crap manager. City need fresh ideas from a footballing point of view...mind you, who on earth would want to work with the current board and the downwood spiral it seems to be in.
It's a club with no ambition, no idea and frankly its on its knees, god knows where it will all end.How does anyone support a team that just wants to survive in a pub league.
Maybe a Phoenix club is the way forward, run by the trust and with ambition and a clear mandate to make this once gr8 club thrive again and im sure if there was a new direction the fans and the people of Worcester would get behind the new regime and team, I hope someone gets hold of it one day and has the foresight of Hereford FC....Accrington,Newport just to mention a few, it can be done.
That said, we desperately need our own ground and parsonsage way ain't what's needed, perdiswell is rant over I'm just saying.....

Some of us have been advocating apheonix club for a few years now. Unfortunately, there will be many like myself who have had enough !!! Roll on Saturday, a sell out match at Edgar Street to see the already champions on the league.
