A fair result, as it could have gone either way. Rugby hit the bar, whilst Matt Gwynne made three great saves in the second half to get us a point. City hit the bar also, but hardly made their keeper save anything, as the shooting was awful, as was the final pass on most occasions. Youngster Ethan Moran did well after coming on, Jordan Stoddart was again impressive at the back, whilst Matt Gwynne's shot saving was excellent. However with the other results today, it's another two points dropped.
Only Wilcox and Layland in the Directors box today plus the usual hangers on. Where were Hampson and Pinches ? One at the rugby, and the other pitchforking Parsonage Way ?

Although we dropped points I enjoyed that game much more than the dross served up against Westfields. Rugby did at least give it a go, instead of parking eleven men behind the ball.
Their front two - Kolodynski (he's played for them for years) and Wiggins-Thomas were excellent: do I recall Wiggins-Thomas having a trial for us one pre-season - or did I just dream that.
It means that we have to beat Bromsgrove and Highgate now to stand any chance of promotion.

In five games against Sporting, Coleshill and Highgate this season we've won just once, so it will be a big ask to win the remainder - as well as winning all the other matches left.

I was really impressed with Rugby, looked a very decent side. Worked the ball from side to side very quickly and smoothly, and the front two ran and ran. They could have nicked it too, and we wouldn't really have had many complaints if they had done.
