Silly comment that one, looking at the faces behind the banner, these are supporters who are there most weeks anyway. He doesn't even know who the regular supporters are, and its hardly a big number! He and the rest of the board are so distanced from the supporters now, the gap is wider than it ever has been.

“I think the current board has done its very best to keep the club alive "
and there was me thinking that losing a ground, losing over 1 million since leaving SGL, going down 3 levels, and retaining a business model which fails season after season might be seen as not being much of an end result to be proud of !
On this basis, you certainly wouldn't want to see the end result of their very worst efforts !
This statement from Hampson again just demonstrates how thick skinned, deluded, and patently incompetent he and the other Board members are.

Are they incompetent though? Or are they just pulling down the blinds until they can sneak away unhindered?
Why would anyone hang around a dead club as long as Hampson and co have? Who's really pulling the strings at WCFC?

The protest on Saturday was nothing to do with the Supporters Trust, this was something it seems was organised by fans. Yes, this was a Geordie branch (i.e. fan rather than Supporters Trust) initiative, with special thanks to Kiddy for funding the flag.

So he is delighted with 16 extra fans(who,as Jem points out, weren't extras anyway). He ought to be ecstatic every week that he is still getting 300 more than he deserves

“We need volunteers and fundraising. If people don’t want to raise funds for Worcester City, they could pay it directly towards the players for example.”
Would that not be breaking some kind of FA or League Rules (aka “under the table payments”?)

Hampson has got himself into a position now where he's damned if he does, and he's damned if he don't. If he opens his mouth, the garbage coming out makes him look silly, and one wonders if he's actually talking out of another orifice, and if he says nothing, he's quite rightly criticised for not communicating. What we have is a Chairman, who together with the rest of the Directors have mastered the art of talking without any communication!
Best leave them to it, they're not listening

That is only with regards to contracted players Jem. I think what the Chairman is saying is payments directly into a pot for players instead of directly to them, aka a Teambuilder type thing

Yes, it most probably is. I keep forgetting that City will be a fully amateur side very soon! Sorry, I can't get used to us not being a proper non-league semi-pro footballing team anymore.

Surely they don't meet down the local every Friday to discuss it all The local! I suspect they meet up with Hallmark, Hampson etc. somewhere far more accommodating than that. www.worcestermasoniccentre.co.uk

What a reply to the protest from a chairman, who treats the supporters and shareholders with such contempt, what has the club got to hide about the clubs finances ? Why no AGM ? .The club has pulled the plug on the playing budget as they did last season, as they do not want to get promotion, which has led to the loss of key players, no wonder after the clubs statement they are going amateur next season. Where is the club playing next season or what league they will play in ? , no statement from the club or have they applied to play in a amateur league ? . The gates are dwindling and the interest in the club has gone, no leadership from the Chairman or the board and Parsonage Way is a smoke screen till the money has gone, how can you build a ground with less than £150k, with no revenue streams or grants available without community ownership. As a shareholder I am calling on the Chairman and the Board to resign and call a EGM and put it in the Shareholders hands to which direction the club will take in the future. I despair at the poor mismanagement of club funds since the sale of St Georges lane and this board should be accountable for this and at a AGM.

Good news - it may well be but..................
With Hampson and the Board agreeing to the NDA so remarkably quickly, an action not usually associated with them or previous Boards regarding anything financial at WCFC, the cynic ( with history proving me correct on every occasion ) in me gets suspicious and wonders why ? Have Hampson and the Board finally seen the error of their ways ? Have they finally accepted that they have run the club into the ground ? Or is it a reluctant last chance saloon throw of the dice ?
Hampson has recently stated that he is confident that City can " scrape to phase one " of any Parsonage Way project, but admits it is likely to depend on keeping back the remaining pot of cash.
He also stated " There will be about £ 150,000 left at the end of this season ". mmmmmmmmm.
Really ? To go from a loss of over 290 k in 16/17, to by Hampson's own words a loss of circa 55k in 17/18 ? No FA Cup run, no FA Vase run, a dwindling title challenge with dwindling end of season crowds, a suggestion of going " fully amateur " next season ?
Why do I think that there will be less than " about £ 150,00 left at the end of the season " ?

Or has the ground transaction record gone the way of the zippo?

• The club returned an altered NDA with different terms to the one provided by Nick Igoe and Supporters Direct, did not include the Supporters’ Trust in it and had removed the list of information requested by Nick • Nick Igoe has since been back in touch with the club stating that, as his services are provided through Supporters Direct on behalf of the Trust, the Trust will need to be involved in the NDA

So essentially, it’s all smoke and mirrors. The club are not prepared to work with the trust. I knew it sounded too good to be true.
Makes you wonder what they’re worried about doesn’t it?

We already know the club are not prepared to work with the trust - what’s new about that.
