“I am fairly convinced that if I step down it will happen with the support of Worcestershire FA and Worcester City Council.“
Not according to a member of Worcester City Council:
“Cllr. Stephen Hodgson:
The football club Chairman's comments aren't accurate regarding the council being behind this project. A decision was made by the council's P&R committee (which I don't sit on) to put a budget in place to investigate the city council owned land and its suitability for usage. Beyond that any application for a football ground will be subject to the normal planning processes.
As I understand it is unlikely anywhere near as much as £100K will be spent on these surveys. And the football club (along with the County FA) would need submit the planning application and find funding to build this.”

If this wasn't my local football club, it would be so amusing....but it is...so its not! A year ago, Hampson was saying in the Worcester News that Community Ownership was the only way forward to generate money for a new ground. So...whats changed? Where now does he see the money coming from? www.worcesternews.co.uk/sport/15114183.City_s_board_to_work_towards_community_ownership_with_fans__trust/And he wants everyone to get behind Parsonage Way? But what is Parsonage Way? All anyone has seen is 3 artists impressions of a football ground, which I believe have now been ripped up (there were some schoolboy errors, such as the ground set at the wrong orientation!). City Councillor Stephen Hodgson has said publicly that the City Council do NOT back the Parsonage Way scheme - how can they? They know as little about it as anyone else. What happened to the second round of public consultation that was promised?

Consultation probably hasn't happened because the only Director who did anything stepped away !
I am fed up of this circus. Fans must be listened to ! What more do the fans have to say and do to get a clear message across ?
I have spoken to a few players, some who have left also, and half of them haven't been around until the summer when they signed and majority of them support what the supporters say and think, they are playing now for John, Simon, Kevin probably in some ways still for Lee Hughes and the supporters.

Agreed - you have to admire the efforts of the management and the players.
I love this comment
“Supporters, not only the trust but the fans, the season-ticket holders that have kept this club going over the period of time I have been involved, need to be listened to."
Firstly, he has completely overlooked the people that he is accountable to - the SHAREHOLDERS! Not a word about them. Secondly, if you want to listen to fans, you have to make yourself available to listen to fans. So when was the last fans forum? When was the last Shareholders meeting?

He doesn't care. He's not interested in the fans or the club. That's not what this is about.

Just to make it perfectly clear, the Supporters Trust have NEVER seen the Anthony Collins report, and have NEVER been offered visibility of the Anthony Collins report. I don't even think that the whole Board of Directors have seen the report either. Anthony Hampson is totally aware that the Supporters Trust has never seen the report too, so lets be reasonable and say that he is being mischievous with that comment. It is rather sad though, that the football club has returned a loss of £290,000 and the Chairman just wants to play at being mischievous.

I agree with the comments above. I'm just a rank and file member of the Supporters Trust, and am not privy to what it receives and doesn't receive but...............As soon as I read " I think the Trust had a copy of it ( Anthony Collins report ) ", I instantly thought, here we go again, more misleading statements from Hampson.
" Think they did " ? If anyone knows whether the Trust had a copy or not, it would be Hampson. It's hardly a complex problem, surely it's yes they did or no they didn't ! Think ?
He just continues to play out his PR guff in half truths to the Worcester News, and his pronouncements about Parsonage Way happening, sadly appear to be lifted from those of Dave Boddy regarding Nunnery Way.
