Having read all the comments from the club in the media this week, it seems that we might be in a position next season where we don't pay players anything. I understand some clubs in the MFL adopt this approach already - Shawbury has been cited as an example.
Whether this "amateur" club could sustain playing in the MFL Premier we don't know, it seems that the board will discuss this with whoever is the manager for next season.
But the overall message from the club seems to be that another crossroads has been reached - remain ambitious on the field or seek to sacrifice that goal in order to return to Worcester.
So my question is aimed at the fans who currently still attend matches - would you go and watch this "fully amateur" club? There are still some key unknowns - it could potentially be playing in an even lower league than now, it could be playing at Claines Lane - all questions that the club could right now be asking it's few remaining supporters.
Equally I suppose some of you who don't go to the VG might be prepared to go to watch amateur games if they are played back in Worcester?
Perhaps some discussion on here will help to inform the wider debate.

I won't watch another game until this board are out. I'd then watch 'Worcester City' or whatever name they play under at any level so long as the price and travel were not prohibitive...

If amateur they could play on Perdiswell, as no stand needed. Now that would please the locals wouldn't it

Surely `a Worcester City` playing in Worcester would have as much appeal as the present lot whatever league they were attached to ? Trouble is that for all he says Hampson MUST stay in charge to ensure his shareholder mates get their money back. So we are stuffed all ways !

I won't attend another home game under the present regime but I will watch Worcester City or AFC Worcester or whatever they are called once Hampson and Co have gone, even if it is fully amateur.

I couldn't turn my back on Sutton but I would certainly make the effort to get to what I could.I won't attend another City home game whilst this lot are in control

At what point do Worcester Raiders become the dominant Worcester football club?

I wouldn`t be surprised if Raiders didn`t become City of Worcester FC before long !

I have not heard anything from the club on the subject of any ground share at Bromsgrove Sporting or what league the club will play in next season. Playing at Worcester Raiders in the West Midlands League division 1 . would be a option. No doubt Hampson has already resigned from the MPL and looking for a pitch to play on in Worcester , maybe Brickfields to facilitate his amateur vision, before the big move to Parsonage Way. As a shareholder I am calling on the board to give us the AGM everyone wants and give us the answers on the financial position of the club and be accountable for their mismanagement of the clubs funds since the club sold St Georges Lane. I cannot wait for the money to run dry and get the this board gone for good. All our current players will be gone at the end of the season, a carbon copy of events at this time last season with budgets cuts likely before then, Tyler Weir has already tweeted " it that time again, decision time". How the hell can we lose £260k on first season at Bromsgrove , we moved their to cut costs , lower ground rent and the squad assembled by Carl Heeley was one of the worse we have witnessed in years, where was the business plan , a massive overspend on income coming in, but we still put Connor Hughes on a 18 month contract when then club was on its knees and had to pay it up to get him off the books.

Sad in a way. There will never be another time where Worcester City are discussed in the same article as Man Utd and West Ham.

Very sad indeed. I've posted this comment following the article:
"As a Worcester City fan, I can only weep at the colossal sums of money washing around the Premiership. However, the story of our club's demise is rooted in strange land deals; non-disclosure of accounts, and refusals to hold AGMs. If ever your paper decides to investigate the mis-management of football clubs, WCFC would be an ideal place to start."
Perhaps if the local press is unable to delve into the goings on in Hampsonville, they might.

Pray tell - how are we going to afford that? Maybe an IOU based on the anticipated (and budgeted for?) income for reaching the FA cup Quarter Finals? Dodger.

You will find the article headline say Bromsgrove but the quotes within the article do not name a club.

From the OFFICIAL Club Website:
“The Board of Directors of Worcester City Football Club and Bromsgrove Sporting Football Club are pleased to announce that after amicable negotiations, an agreement has been reached for Worcester City to groundshare with Bromsgrove Sporting for next season with an option for a further year if so required.”
Methinks downthelane needs to crawl back under its rock and leave adults to do the talking
