2-1 to Burscough FT, but possibly could have been 3-1 as they had a Clive Thomas moment...

A very average result. Sounds like we didnt get the rub of the green? Conceding 2 goals every game is a concern.

I'd agree with the last posting; conceding two goals per game is not the way to win a league. Clean sheets win matches.
Wasn't there, so I have to rely on BBCHW and it sounded as if we gave it a go in the second half but it wouldn't go in.

Sorry to say it, but Webster is a yesterday man, and Danks must remember it is a team game, the times during the game when he could have passed the ball to a team mate who was in a better position to have a go at scoring.

totally agree, webster looked slow and out of touch yesterday, I think their tackling was exceptional yesterday which probably won them the game and we looked quite 'slow' on the ball

Thats the problem with strikers, they're not usually team men, thats probably why they score all the goals!!!! Webster? I've never been a fan of his, but give him a chance for goodness sake.

Sssshhhh, don't let the FA hear about the "the ref lied to me" comments, they don't like that kind of thing, even when its true!!!

Just caught up with this here in my hotel in Spain. Very disappointing start to the season.
If we have aspirations of gaining at least a play off place, we need to be beating the newly promoted teams. let me make it clear right now that I AM NOT CALLING FOR THE SACK OF THE MANAGER but if things do not improve AP could find himself looking for a new job by Christmas.

Everyone will make their own judgements, Mark. Am not in the management change school myself, and I dont anticipate being there as the little doors open up on the Advent Calendar. Team performance is much more than about the manager.
My assessment so far is that we've a decent squad of 14 players, but you cant expect to get results at this level without a pair of decent centre-halfs, and the Club cant afford to have 4 of them in its squad.
