It's ok - something else to look forward to - tonight is the start of the big unveiling of the Parsonage Way plans with the grand summit 'twixt Board and Council...

It is worth pointing out that these discussions are often subject to confidentiality clauses. Whilst it would be good to put some information out to supporters and shareholders, it may be limited in what it can say.

To be fair - I’d take that with a metric tonne of salt as - in the past - it hasn’t stopped certain people in power leaking like a tin shed roof (as I recall)

How can the spending of £100,000 of public money on a viability study be subject to confidentiality clauses?

If the public really knew what public money was spent on then It wouldn’t be a democracy would it? Oh hang on...
I loved the hypocrisy exposed on last nights repeat of “meet the lords” where in almost the same breath the Speaker was seen looking at a portrait of herself that had been commissioned at a cost of £12,000 and dealing with the over claiming of expenses by another peer of the realm.
It would seem that the refurbishment of the Palace of Westminster would seem an ideal opportunity to eliminate the House of Lords and replace it with a cost effective elected second chamber of 100 or so. Why have 800 peers when the House only has room for 400 or so to sit. If you have no seat then you cannot participate in the businesss of the house.
