Starting line-up:

Subs: Hughes, Baldwin, Fishwick, Chiwara, Dayus.
No Hayward or Jamie Smith as they've had an RTA on the way to the game, unhurt but need to stay with the car, but someone called Weir at right back. Welcome back Denzil.

1-1 at HT, as Khalsa equalised right on the stroke of ½time.

A drizzly Tuesday night in Willenhall, you can't beat it !
A scrappy hard fought game where the result was about right. There were few good chances, and not a lot of quality, although if anyone looked like nicking it, it was probably Khalsa. Nevertheless a good point. The Khalsa club were very welcoming, although they need to fit a heart monitor to their manager who kicks, heads and tackles every ball, between berating the officials with some earthy language. A committed football man, I believe he'd be called !
The surprise return of Tyler Weir added balance to the back four, which allowed George Forsyth to play in midfield where he shows ability. He's composed on the ball, can see a pass, just needs to get his fitness levels up which should come by playing regularly. There was no doubting the commitment and spirit of all the City players, and they all worked hard on a tough night in tough conditions. One thing in the City's favour is the banter and spirit amongst the players. They do enjoy each other's company, with Danksy's efforts on the Twitter feed being enjoyed by all.
The officials in this league are generally poor though. Last night's generally let the game go, but allowed a lot of basic things to be incorrect. The Khalsa right back pinched another 15 yards on every throw in, whilst free kicks were being taken 15 yards away from where the offence occurred, including a great example where it was taken in a different half to where the foul happened ! The linesmen appear to operate independently to the referee, and give little meaningful support to the ref. Then again, they are where they are for a reason, as are we.

Glad Danksy's tweets were enjoyed! Certainly made my evening interesting!
A good game and 1-1 a fair result I thought. City looked confident in defence for the first time in a few games possibly thanks to the return of Tyler Weir, who I thought put in a very good returning shift. Food I had was good, and £1.95 a pint in the club house too! Bargain!
I'd have taken a point before the game, especially seeing as Hayward and Jay Smith were out due to the crash they were in.
On to Rocester, where I hope the food is just as good as Khalsa... but I doubt it.
