Would anyone going to the game on 2nd September do me a favour and text me the half-time and full-time scores? I am up in Barrow-in-Furness that day, and they would have to crank the transmitter up a bit for me to get reception! I don't have a fancy phone so I can't get the internet.
If you can help could you send me a private message and I'll let you have my mobile number.

Long Eaton's number 6 just went to headbutt Griffiths, got sent off for his troubles. A lot of passion shown from both teams, has been a really entertaining game. Still 2-2 in the closing stages. I'm utterly convinced that the weakness is in defence now. Terrible positioning and marking are costing us a game we should easily be winning. Tackling is hit and miss - very sloppy at stages. Still can't get used to City playing at this level though.
P.S. - f**k John Snape.

I think the only way City will retain a 'decent' crowd is by being in the top three. Half way down this league will not attract people.

Correct. If City will be spending a second season at their current level then I would expect attendances to plummet come the 18/19 season.

You mean the club have enough money to exist in the 18/19 season? I am currently not in a position to know that. Unless you're on the Board or are John Snape, then who knows the real finances of WCFC? However, most football clubs run at a loss, so I guess a better question is 'is Hampson going to bother to inject more money into the club?'. The main concern should obviously be to cut off the leech known as John Snape and remove him and his entourage of followers so the club can focus on stabilising itself and regaining all of the lost momentum from previous years.

Should've won that game about 6-2. Would've been a very comfortable afternoon overall if not for some pretty woeful defending. Long Eaton have yet to win this season, and looked very average indeed.
We looked good going forward but not enough real penetration. Danks would be my man of match, by some distance.
Lovely little set up and ground there.

I'd call that a very disappointing result. One win in five now, surely we should be doing better?

Watching Long Eaton today really re-affirmed the 'Sunday League' feel that this division has. As terrible as City's defending was, at least they look like a team.
Now might be a good time to remind people that we're only a division higher than a team called 'Cadbury Athletic'. It gets more embarrassing every week.

Have to say, I always thought Snape and Hughes were the wrong choice of management doomed under them 2 and the board well even worse......

Good God can't beat Long Eaton, yes there are no easy games, but how the mighty have fallen, I really cannot be bothered to watch City under the current regime that includes the board Snape & Hughes please all go away !

Time for Snape and Hughes to go. Maybe a bit harsh on Hughes but what has Snape ever achieved as a manager? Does anyone seriously think he is the man to turn the clubs fortunes around? Danny Jackman should be approached asap in my opinion

Danny Jackman should be approached asap in my opinion You realise the club completely dicked him about, and he's now in a player coach role at Redditch where he's doing very well by all accounts. Why on earth would he want to come back to this absolute s*** show?

Jackman was 'dicked around' by the Worcester Board and John Snape, but in every interview since leaving he's had nothing but positive things to say about the players. It shows what kind of man he is.
Danny Jackman has more skill in his left testicle than John Snape could ever dream of. For the good of WCFC - Snape out.

Genghis, is there any reason why you didnt feel the need to tell everyone about the perils of the Snape until July this year? Why not tell us all about him last season? or the season before?

It shows what kind of man I am when not posting tinfoil hat vitriol and a tiny non league club fan forum. I like to think I have more skill in my left testicle than John Snape could ever dream of. For the good of WCFC - Snape out. Fixed that for you Danners...

The only claims I've made in this thread is that John Snape is a s*** manager, and far worse than Jackman, and that City have a poor quality defence. Both of which can be backed up simply by watching the Long Eaton game. Would you disagree with any of that? Genghis, is there any reason why you didnt feel the need to tell everyone about the perils of the Snape until July this year? Why not tell us all about him last season? or the season before? Maybe I would if I knew the forum existed before July this year.

Long Eaton is a community club. It has 22 youth teams, 2 Ladies senior teams both in the WPL , 3 mens senior teams, over 50 academy students all studying and training on site in bespoke classrooms,5 grass pitches, 2 astro pitches, 2 minibuses.......could go on. Do we want to become the mighty? What we do is respect other clubs, so from the Sunday league outfit we wish Worcester City FC well, hope you enjoyed the day out at our sunday league venue and look forward to going to Worcester, no sorry Bromsgrove for the return fixture.

I know that. Your fans that were there on Saturday were great, obviously disappointed not to win and to be in a position where they are playing at this level from where they have been.

I really enjoyed Saturday.
A thoroughly pleasant atmosphere, and I thought the whole set up at Long Eaton was excellent, and one that we can only dream of these days.

Zeke's childish and hypocritical reply aside, I meant no disrespect to Long Eaton.
However, when used to playing at the standard that City have been, it is difficult not to make a comparison with the current competition to previous competition. Many fans will do this when their team is playing at a lower level than before.
Respect to you for your passionate and genuine reply. Many on his board could learn a thing or two from you.

Here is a passionate and genuine reply, if you don't like the standard of football why come ? Why come and then complain about it ? Why don't you do something better with your time and ours ! I do applaud you however, this is the first post you have made that doesn't reference your personal problems towards the Club's manager. I only wish you had been this vocal when the likes of Dave Boddy, Brian Lancaster and the other thieves were around and killing this Club, of course you were non existent then ! There is only one problem on this forum, that lad is you, I have respected the likes of Who, Zeke, Croc and many others for years.

No. Like it or not, I've been attending City games for 24 years. I don't intend to stop now.
