Beautiful sunny Bank Holiday. Nice ground good pitch. Very friendly and happy staff. Plenty of parking. I expect a tight game. Both sides unbeaten in the league.

HT 0-0. Coventry edging it. Lack of discipline could see a red or two in the second half.

Losing 3-0 about 15 mins to go. Could be a lot more. Palmer has saved half a dozen

623 is a new club record home attendance apparently. Were they not in this division at the same time as Hereford?

I don't think they were, they've only been in existence for 4 years, and started 3 leagues even lower, so they've probably always been at least a league behind Hereford.

Apparently 6 of the first 11 were out through injury so got to see it through that lens. Given that it was f*****g awful. However the sun was out, cider was plentiful and the banter hilarious. Great day out.

Don't get the chance to go to many away games. Tonight was no exception.
Abysmal result. Still getting to know the new players so it's far too early to identify the weak links. However, I am surprised that Palmer let 3 goals in. His positioning has been excellent from what I've seen so far - beyond his level. I can only assume that it was either a poor showing from the defence again or John Snape's abysmal attempt at a half-time talk sent him (and the rest of the team) out for the 2nd half with a poor mindset.
Enough is enough. Time to send Snape and his lackeys packing.

A disappointing result considering we matched Coventry United in the first half and looked comfortable going in 0-0 at halt time. Coventry United came out on the front foot and got two goals within ten minutes, poor defending failing to clear on the first and the second Tom Palmer lofted pass to the left back position was intercepted which led to Craig Reid firing home. The third goal was a cross to the far post which left Tom Palmer rooted to the spot as it sailed home at the far post. City in the second half lacked in energy or work rate and never really caused United any cause for concern. We need to remember City went into the game without Gwynne, Griffiths, Khan. Hayward, Lee Hughes all injured and Brad Birch suspended , we had George Forsyth in midfield on loan from Gloucester City who looked a decent player. Matt Reynolds had his second poor game on the trot and never troubled the United defence, it could be he hasn't recovered from collision against Chasetown, and new injury worry was Jamie Smith limped off. Overall I didn't think Coventry United were three goals better than us, but our defending was poor and got punished by a side who will pushing for promotion. Our side is a work in progress at the moment with all the injuries and suspensions to sort out, when we can get a settled side we will see if we are a side to challenge for promotion. I was impressed with the set up at Coventry United at the Coventry Rugby club ground with a nice seated stand and a well run club and we could learn some lesson from a club which has being going for only four years, a good attendance of 623.

Sounds pretty good to me. Perhaps we could form a Worcester United and play at the Warriors ground. Better than wasting four years p.....g about with planners, Perdiswell and the idiots `directing WCFC !

Better than wasting four years p.....g about with planners, Perdiswell and the idiots `directing WCFC ! The problem with this dragn is that there is no 'driving force' behind a new football club. We have what appears to be a clueless WCFC board of Directors bankrupting the existing club & a Supporters Trust doing their upmost to create a community based club. At the moment, you only have those two options to back !! Although I agree wholeheartedly with the culture of The Trust & the finances they could generate. I do wonder if there would be more support if they put the energy into forming a completely new football team.

Sorry for the name mix up, so many new faces this season, after a long day in the sun. I didn't see Lee Hughes on the touch line to support his joint manager John Snape , for a important game ? . The lack of discipline in the second half was a worry and Tyler Weir was the main culprit and was lucky to stay on the pitch, got jeered by the home crowd. Tyler seems to lose the plot and should be setting a example as captain, not kicking the ball out of the ground when he missed a penalty against Loughborough in frustration. The two main concerns are the sloppy goals we gave away and needs to be addressed and the lack of threat up front , we lack any pace to break and a forward who has the physical strength to hold the ball up. Our joint managers need to learn from this game and prepare for the next game away at Long Eaton United to get us back to winning ways. John Snape was right to say sorry to the loyal travelling supporters for his sides poor showing in the second half, well said John on this one. This season is going to be a tough one for everyone in a new league and our side is a side started from fresh and needs to gel and mould together, I have spoke to supporters who say we will walk this league, not when you have teams like Coventry United and Coleshill Town challenging for promotion. As a club we all need to pull together on and off the pitch to have goal for the future, the board and the trust need to heal their past disputes and have proper business plans in place to get the club back to Worcester.

I'm sure Hughes had a legitimate reason for not being there. Hearing he wasn't there explains a lot. I hope this has exposed John Snape's inability to manage a football team to you all. He can stick his apology. No doubt he put all of the blame on the lads and took no accountability himself. Snape in a nutshell.

So, City lost a football match? It's no big deal, they will lose plenty more before the season is out. I don't care about managers apologies, they aren't necessary, especially not 4 games into a season. Win the first 3, it doesn't make you a good team, lose one and it doesn't make you a bad team. It'll take a couple of months for all teams to figure out where they are, and it's what the team is doing come December, that's when it matters. And if Snapes no good, he'll be long gone, just like any other manager

I might be more patient if it wasn't for his unprofessional behaviour off the pitch.

I thought the City players did well first half to contain the Coventry danger men but after half time Coventry stepped up a gear.
Watching the highlights all three goals were down to the players not defending in the correct way, third was the most obvious one...right side left totally open, and yes its a freak cross / goal but for me the defence went walking and the keeper probably should have caught it or saved it.
I think it showed that we really missed those players missing and the squad needs bolstering a bit more to cope with injuries and suspensions over the course of season

What about my post suggested I was offended? You responded exactly as I thought you would. Anybody who uses the terms 'snowflake', 'cuck', etc exposes themselves as an idiot. Let me guess - he also phones Vladimir over in Moscow on a Friday to finalise the team sheet for the next day's game? Or does he send a fax to Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang to request his scouting notes from the Long Eaton United match he sent his crack squadron of spies to observe?
