No home games = no revenue ?? The actual press release actually states "a possible further fixture could be announced"

Is it really the case that the MFL fixtures are published just two weeks before the league season begins?

No home games = no revenue ?? No home games also = no costs - remember that. In fact most "home" friendly games City would make a loss on (unless they played decent Villa, Wolves or WBA side).

Attended my first Worcester City pre season friendly against Evostick Northern Premier side Halesowen Town , Worcester fielded a side of a mix of first team players and trialists. The starting line up was Palmer in goal, with a back four of Trialist Sam Gwynne ex Hereford Fc and Westfield , Trialist , Shab Khan and Griffiths, Midfield of Baldwin, Birch, Hayward, Jamie Smith , up front Danks and Reynolds. City looked good in the first half and showed promise for the new season, with Nathan Hayward impressing in midfield, Mark Danks looked sharp and took his goal well, but he is still the same old Danksy never far away from trouble. Reynolds scored a great goal and will be interesting to see how gets on in the Midland Premier. Both goals conceded were mistakes by the trialist centre back and Shab Khan, the second half neither side got going with both managers gave the trialists game time. The game finished 2-2 and Lee Hughes who managed City in the absence of John Snape would be happy with his sides showing, only the two defensive lapses were the negatives. Our chairman Mr Hampson and a director of the club attended the game, but did not show up at the Guildhall for our planning meeting for Perdiswell. Oh well its the Fa Cup next Saturday at Daventry Town and hope we get a decent following at the game.

Some decent players in our new team who played some good football at times. I think teams are going to struggle to contain our forward line, as long as Danks and Hughes don't get themselves sent off every other week. Hopefully Shabby got his one in ten games shocker out of his system yesterday.
I sincerely hope that we don't sign the trialist keeper who played the final half an hour. Apart from a couple of decent throws out to the full backs he was a complete liability.
The referee was a delight. An old duffer, his reasons for giving, or not giving something, were shouted out for all to hear, and were more often than not very funny. Eg "Don't be silly, you were all over him like a rash". If they were all like that then I would be able to forgive some of the useless ones more easily.

A decent run out (for both teams) although personally I thought we seemed a bit 'hurried' when on the ball whereas a bit more time taken may have seen better passing and better through balls. Would prefer to see a bigger keeper that has a chance of commanding the penalty area but it is early days. We looked quite lively up front and should cause problems this coming season. Liked the ref .......when a player went down, he just shouted "Come on, just get on with it". A refreshing approach. Daventry here we come! Dodger.

I noticed Snape didn't show his face. Probably too hungover to get out of bed. Absolutely pathetic form from him.

You expect serious replies to your comments? Hard to put any weight in anything one of Snape's boys says. Clearly my comment touched a nerve. It wouldn't if there was no truth in it.

Ironic you keep posting that. Only record being broke at WCFC this season is 'lowest points scored' if they don't get rid of Snape.

Have you just discovered what a meme is? You seem awfully impressed with yourself for using them to communicate.

I would have thought that if you actually watched the game, you'd take the positives of matching a higher division team on their turf, more so than the absence of one of the joint managers. But no, instead we're going to get our lowest ever points tally in a season, because some anonymous person on the internet said so. Go on, reveal who you are.

genghis read this & then think what crap you put on here, this shows how misslead you are !!!
WORCESTER City enjoyed an encouraging finish to their pre-season friendlies with a 2-2 draw at higher-ranked Halesowen Town.
Having beaten Sutton Coldfield Town from the Northern Premier League Premier Division 4-0 City gave another team from the same level a tough test.
City player Brad Birch said on Twitter: "Last game of pre-season was 2-2 against a good Halesowen side.
"The lads and everyone involved at Worcester have been spot on, roll on the season."
