So, both City and Gainsborough go again tomorrow, they're at home to Salford. I presume both games kick off at the same time? In which case it reminds me of those final group games in the World Cup Finals when teams need to equal or better their rivals to go through.
After seeing what Stalybridge have achieved in the last week, is there a realistic chance that either us or Gainsborough could spring a surprise as well? How many of us will be travelling to cheer on the lads? Sadly not me, I'll be listening to BBC HW or following on Twitter.

We need to fear Stalybridge I think: after beating the first and second in the league in the space of four days they must be the current form team. I shall likewise be listening on BBCHW.

We need to fear nothing which is out of our hands. All we can do is pick up as many points as we possibly can, and not concern ourselves with anything beyond our control.

I agree Jem, completely in our control as we have the most points in the board out of the three of us. Hopefully we have Steele back today bringing something off the bench as well as an upturn in form from Keane to match Murphy and I feel we could definitely get another win which may be all we need.

So we lost 1-0 and Gainsborough won. It's getting interesting now. Staly are 5 points behind us both with 2 games in hand!!!

Can't see us getting anymore points. Gainsborough certainly have a better chance.

Sounded from the radio like we played ok today, but the Gainsborough resulg was a kick in the teeth. Anyone know how many of the board were there?

I have never understood what this obsession some people have with whether directors attend away matches or not. Their job is to make sure that the club is properly, not attend matches. The fact that they are failing to run the club at all is another matter.

It was just a question, don't get your knickers in a twist about it

But why do you want to know? What does it matter?

There might have been one or two, there might have been all five, who knows? who cares? I certainly don't care if Directors travel to away games to watch a football match or not. The Directors role is to manage the company, and in fact, match day is the least important time for Directors, particularly at away games. Its just a freebie for them most of the time. When I was a Director and went to away games, I went as a fan, I paid at the turnstiles and stood on the terraces. I did let the staff at Telford know that I was a WCFC Director, only to be told that I couldn't go into the Director Lounge because I was wearing jeans! I had no intention of going into the Directors Lounge, particularly if I would be refused dressed as a football supporter!! Personally I'd prefer to see the Directors spending time at community events like the fetes and festivals that we got involved in, or visiting schools like Rich and Mike did during our FA Cup runs. I'd prefer to see them getting involved in litter picks at Perdiswell, like me, Rob and Mike did. I'd prefer to see them actively promoting schemes like Perdiswell, which further the future of the business that they have been entrusted to manage on behalf of shareholders.

Maybe the Directors should be forced to attend and watch the performances! - after all, it’s their stewardship of WCFC that’s put us where we are.
On the match front, Muskwe should have put us one up with a free header from 6 yards out and Nelson-Addy should have also scored when coming on to a Jordan Murphy lay back at 12 yards. He somehow decided to side foot the ball 3 yards over the top when it looked easier to smash the ball into the net. Both of these chances came before the Chorley goal.........so at 2-0 up, we may have hung on.
The Chorley penalty looked suspect and even some of the Chorley fans acknowledged that it looked like a dive.
