OK so we lost 1-0, but Gainsborough lost as well. Still 2 points clear.

With Bradford beating Alfreton there is a 7 point gap now. So it's almost certainly us or Gainsborough for the drop.

And, providing we can stay level with Gainsboro' on points then their goal difference is much worse than ours. A win against Curzon Ashton next Saturday would be useful though.

Gainsboro were very poor at Chorley on Saturday. Chorley have been having a bad run as well, so if Gainsboro were to have got a point, I would not have been surprsised. However I'm glad Chorley hammered them. The problem is Chorley will be out to hammer City as well on Good Friday, even more so as they need maxium points to keep their play-off place. Looking at the remaining fixtures, I really don't know where City - or Gainsboro - will pick up any points?

If we can just get a point on Saturday, Gainsboro will have to win one and draw one of their remaining five fixtures - which will be very difficult. But football's a funny old game!(as someone once said).
