Really enjoyed that game. Obvious reasons aside... it was competitive, well refereed and both sides (for the most part) tried to play decent football.
We edged the first half - without creating many chances, and the early goal in the 2nd half was perfectly timed. Stalybridge got stronger as the game progressed; they hit the post once but besides that didn't really look like scoring. Very impressed with their no. 10.
For City I thought Chambers and Hutchison were outstanding at the back, and was really impressed by Gallinagh today. Jordan Keane had a great game in the midfield. Was surprised the new loanee from Rotherham didn't feature. Murphy took his goal well and had at least one other decent chance.
So overall a deserved win and hopefully a much needed confidence boost.

Post match Jacko said that the new striker from Rotherham had a tight hamstring and it wasn't worth risking him this week, but he was out on the pitch prematch in Rotherham training kit interacting with players.
I was really impressed by City today, hard to pick out a single player for any real criticism. Vaughan marshalled his defence well, Gallinagh in particular impressed me as he went forward with desire and tracked back well when needed. Midfield seemed a bit odd with C.Keane playing on the right wing for most the match. English worked well up front with Murphy in behind, he put a real shift in and did well for the goal - I'd say it's his best game of the season. Finally, Devlin looked a real livewire when he replaced the injured English. Happy to lean in on a player, moved well and seemed to have an eye for goal - his first touch I believe was a shot on goal. Give him time to develop and games off the bench and he could be a starter soon enough!

Will make it very interesting if Stalybridge can put one over on Telford on Tuesday evening

So where was Pa Njie? Playing for Sutton Coldfield Town by any chance?

Yes Njie was playing for Sutton. Might be his level - looked miles away v Brackley.

Yes Njie was playing for Sutton. Might be his level - looked miles away v Brackley. Any idea if that's on loan or is his City career over? Looks like Junior English will be out for a few weeks so our options up front are shrinking once more.

A dual registration ? Similar to Sean Geddes being on our bench a couple of months ago ?

The Darlo equaliser in the 90+7th minute reminded me of the old saying "what goes around comes around" as that's Gainsboro's equivalent of our late concede against Bradford PA.
Makes next Saturday's game at Telford a real six-pointer.
