18 games without a win is a new club record for a single season, breaking the previous record of 17 set in 1920/21 season.

It's been said before, lots of huff and puff, but very little quality Tyler had a good game, but that's about it Very little quality on show there, but thats to be expected really. As I've said before, City can only now attract the "best of the rest" with the limited budget available. It shows the predicament that we are in, that all the players are made available for transfer, and so few have been snapped up by other teams. I'd say that there are 3, maybe 4 players in the present City teams with the quality to play at this level week in, week out, thats about it. We got by in past seasons, because Carl had the managerial skills to get a few of the ordinary players to raise their games at some points in the season, but I doubt whether there's a lot of motivation around at the moment, and thats not pointing the finger, that's just the reality of our situation.

Same old story. Needless free kick given away ( Tom Roses's turn this time, wide on the touchline by the halfway line ) yet again leading to the first goal. Ball pumped in, Alex Gudger winning the header ( as he did most of the night ), and one header later it's in the net. Our inability to defend set pieces and corners has been there all season, although I was pleased to see Nathan Vaughn coming off his line to punch away corners, something which unfortunately Ethan Ross has yet to learn to do on a consistent basis. I thought that Vaughn who needs to keep playing, organised the defence well, with Andy Gallinagh and Tyler Weir having good games.
The midfield was its usual effort led by Jordan Keane, but sadly with little quality on the ball, with Nelson Addy giving the ball away on numerous occasions by his choice of decision of when to pass and when to carry on going. This led to us losing the ball going forward so often. Up front, I thought that Junior English never stopped trying and competed well against Gudger ( how we miss him ), whilst Njie did well on his starting debut. Brackley are a good side, certainly didn't outplay us, but that lack of quality in the final third, with that final ball into the box, the lack of positional nous and anticipation, and the shooting from distance, is what continues to cost us.
