Sadly that's one miracle too far, both passed away a long time ago.
There was no social media in 1985 of course, conversations like this too place in the pub, at work or in the local media.
I have a number of Worcester Evening News cuttings from 1985, asking fans where it all went wrong. Those of you with good memories will recall that Bobby Shinton didn't get much blame, he tried his best with reduced resources and did well for a time making the most of local talent.
Many fans said the problems started in the Nobby Clark era and blamed problems inherited from earlier regimes.
