Why is Adrian Gregson telling the club and the Supporters Trust to get together and talk about where the club will play next season? Hampson has had meetings with the Council, surely in the club and Council meetings it's been made clear to Gregson that the football club has an agreement with Bromsgrove in place covering next season? Why would there be any need to talk about this at all? I'm surprised Adrian Gregson has made such a foolish remark, unless he is aware of other plans?

As I recall when Labour were last in charge of the City council they advised WCFC to put there application in then, but they were to slow, and now with the Greens on the Tories side, I think Adrian's hands are tide. Hopefully we will soon have some answers (March I hope)

As with players, politicians come and go. Some stay longer, but generally they all say what they think people want to hear, whether they actually believe in it or not. In power they say one thing, in opposition they say the other. That's all politicians by the way. They can all do the talking side quite well, that's the easy bit.

What a useless rabble they are ! There is no goodwill and `point scoring` has been moved from the pitch to the playground. The sooner they bring the curtain down on this sorry mess the better. It can`t be long now as the Hampster will need to deliver some return to the people who got him involved.

It's amazing how the City Council can just snap their fingers and get a swimming pool (in use 364 days a year) built, whilst they make the football club jump through hoop after hoop. Someone in the Planning Department has obviously set out to frustrate us at every turn.

Someone in the Planning Department has obviously set out to frustrate us at every turn. To be fair the planning department have been nothing but helpful and supportive. There aren't many of them any more and are under a lot of pressure.

Have just seen that the amended planning application is now in. NEW-look plans for a new football ground in Worcester can today be revealed – with a decision over bringing 'City back home' now due as soon as May.
A revised planning application for a new Worcester City FC stadium at Perdiswell Park has been submitted to council chiefs, with the opinion-splitting development moved further away from the canal.
These first-look images show how the 4,400-capacity site could look – with high-level modelling revealing where it would sit in relation to the recently revamped Perdiswell Leisure Centre.
The ground has been moved 51 metres north, further away from the Birmingham to Worcester Canal, after heritage experts raised concerns about the impact on the Conservation Area.
The appearance of the stadium has also been 'redesigned' to closely match the appearance of the leisure centre, with brickwork on its lower walls and striking aluminium cladding featuring colours ranging from white to light blue.
It will have 15-metre high floodlit columns and a separate 3G all-weather pitch, with extra landscaping around it to limit the impact on the rest of the park, off Bilford Road.
The club's supporter's trust, which has fought a long battle to get it to this stage, says it is "relieved".
The club has been in exile since leaving St George's Lane in 2013 and and is currently playing home fixtures at Bromsgrove.
The original application was drawn up back in April 2014 but has been dogged with difficulties, with the council swamped with more than 1,400 public comments.
Rob Crean, from the trust, said: "A lot of work has gone into it, we're relieved because it's been a very long process.
"But we are still at stage one in the journey to get the club back to Worcester, this is the easiest part."
Trust director Richard Widdowson said: "There is a three-week consultation where we need every City fan, or anyone who has an interest in the club to make their views known once again.
"We think this is going to be of huge benefit to Worcester."
The final planning application includes room for just 82 parking spaces, despite club officials estimating 823 fans will attend matches on average.
But the proposal includes the use of some of the leisure centre's 415 parking spaces on matchdays.
It also emerged today that talks have been held over allowing the Heart of Worcestershire College and Tudor Grange Academy to use the 3G all-weather pitch, alongside the wider community.
Worcester City Council has now launched a fresh 21-day consultation on the revisions, which started this afternoon.
If planning officers can process the feedback in time and come to a recommendation, it could be voted on by councillors in May or June.
The authority released a statement this afternoon insisting "detailed consideration" will be given to every comment submitted.
To have your say visit the city council's website here and search for planning application P14M0176.
Petitions both for and against the stadium have attracted 1,000 names each.

Does anyone know the site (I think on the east side of the city) that the council suggested the board looked at as an alternative to Perdiswell ?

The only possible site on the east side of the city was Nunnery Way, but sadly I understand that St Modwen are enhancing the City's culture there with a KFC and pub.
Perhaps the Council could have suggested part of the new " Worcester 6 " aka " gamechanger site " white elephant development that is blotting the landscape just off Junction 6. You know the one, the " technology park " which had £ millions of LEP ( taxpayers ) monies spent on the infrastructure, fortunately benefitting our old friendly landowners The Spetchley Estate, whilst promising 5,000 new jobs. Honest, just the 5,000.
Sadly the main anchor tenant Worcester Bosch pulled out, but luckily for some, the scheme carried on regardless. Some people have all the luck don't they ?

There doesn't look that much different to the previous scheme. Not sure of the point of the model - it looks a bit like a plan with a green monopoly house stuck on it!

Do you have a better alternative to a site with a green monopoly house stuck on it? Well done to all involved to get this so far.

There isn't much difference to the original scheme, apart from the 4G pitch being in a different location, the layout of the stadium being different, the car parking arrangement being completely different, the landscaping being different. After all, there wasn't much wrong with the original scheme, it just needed updating in line with planning and council specific requirements. The good news for all Tesla drivers out there, there will be two electric charging points on site!!

The plans look terrific. Massive thanks and credit to all involved in getting this submission looking so good. Just the sort of professional facility that the city needs for the worlds most popular sport. I love the photomontage view from Bilford Road ...I can imagine the feeling when that hovers into view..it's not the Lane but as an alternative it has my vote 100% yes yes yes yes...

No idea, I've never bought one, and I've only been in a Tesla once, but it is apparently a planning requirement. Sustainability blah blah blah

There doesn't look that much different to the previous scheme. Not sure of the point of the model - it looks a bit like a plan with a green monopoly house stuck on it! The point of the model is to allow everyone, including the city councillors on the planning committee, the quantum of the development. As can be seen from this model, the stadium is lower than the roofline of the monopoly houses (aka sports centre and swimming pool). It gives a good idea of the scale of the stands at the ground, i.e. how small this football ground really is. Again, it is something that is recommended for planning and the consultation process. The Supporters Trust could display that so fans can get a better idea of what is being proposed. Its more effective than looking on 2D plans.

How can we help to support the application? Are there any further comments that the Trust thinks we should make as individual residents? Some sort of model response together with links to the relevant pages of the Council's website would be really helpful, given the difficulties in navigating a way through the website.

Having just looked at a lot of the documents online, I think that the plans look fantastic and totally in proportion to the surroundings. Well done and many thanks Supporters Trust.
