Excellent news for our local rivals, now if only our council were more active in helping us return home...

The council aren't the issue Bingo. What good is land if the club don't want to give up control or work with those parties to utilise it...

I just don't get how people can attend meetings, and there have been so many where this has been explained over and over, and they STILL don't understand it!

The level of support from the council in terms of advice and guidance regarding the planning application has always been significant, and as we have explained over and over to those who try listening when they turn up to meetings, we don't have the kind of unlimited funds that the likes of SMD can throw at a planning application, so we have to get it right first time. www.worcesternews.co.uk/sport/14781606.City_s_Perdiswell_stadium_bid_set_for_December_decision_/?ref=fbshrIf you want to be critical of anyone in this process, try those that you are volunteering to help out on matchdays. Ask them what their involvement has been in this process?, ask them how they propose to make Perdiswell work?

At the last ST meeting it was said that the plans had been changed time and time again to fulfill [x] criteria set by the council, only to end up where the orginal plan was set. To me, looking from the outside, the council have not been very active in helping at all.
As ever, happy to be enlightened.

At the last ST meeting, like all of the ST meetings, it was explained that the ST had worked very closely with the council to ensure that the plans complied with national and local criteria for planning guidance, so that when we do make our one shot at attaining planning consent, we stand the best chance possible of getting it right. The council aren't obliged to assist all planning applicants in this way. The ST could engage very expensive planning consultants in the same way as the football club and SMD did for Nunnery Way, this would accelerate the process. I don't think at any time have the ST had any criticism of the level of support provided by the city council to date. If you're not enlightened by now, you never will be. As you seem to never listen to a word at meetings, and this is a joint application with the football club, have a chat with one of your buddies on the Board of the club, I'm sure one of them would be delighted to enlighten you.

''About time, surely will be Perdiswell, no real alternative, but who knows with councils'' ''Not holding my breath. Worcester City council never want to get involved because they are useless'' ''Another 3 or so months for them to string us along!'' Turns out I'm not the only City fan who is under the impression that the council haven't been over useful. Again I will point out to you that me having any ''buddies'' in the club boardroom is entirely fictitious on your part, and it's getting rather old.

And how many of them have been to the Supporters Trust meetings where the process has been outlined over and over? Those are nothing more than gossipy tittle tattle comments, I mean, of course the planning application will be for Perdiswell , that's where its for!! I have buddies in the club boardroom, if you want to know whats going on at the club, and be involved in whats going on, you get out there a find out for yourself, and obviously the best place to ask is around the boardroom table. Maybe you should get to know the people you are supporting.

Whilst the news on Perdiswell is deafening. And before you say I'm being critical, this is based on the following:
- no announcement providing an update on when the application is going to be reported to committee.
- no new documents uploaded onto planning application website (which suggests amended reports have not been submitted, so the hold up is not at the Council's end).
- no decision on whether the Council will transfer the land.
- no information on how the Perdiswell development will be funded.

Not forgetting that there is no news from the "working party" on other sites ! What alternative sites have the council identified exactly ? THE TRUST are STILL working hard on the planning application and will continue to do so until the very end, keep the faith !

Let me provide you personally with responses - I can announce that as of today, there is no announcement regarding when the application is going to be reported to committee - I can confirm that as of today no new documents have been uploaded to the planning portal, I refer back to the response above - I can confirm that there is no decision on whether the Council will transfer the land - I can confirm on that information on how Perdiswell development will be funded will be provided when there is an update regarding your first point, and will be dependent on updates regarding your third point. You are now completely up to date, as of today. Now then, I trust that you have asked the Board of the Football Club the same questions, as this is a joint application, maybe you'd be kind enough to publish the answers you've got from the football club Board on here?

The Nunnery Way planning application submitted by WCFC and the might of St Modwen Developments was recieved November 2008 and approved April 2012. Three and a half years that one took, with a whole team of planners and consultants engaged full time on the project, a project that ultimately cost WCFC somewhere in the region of £6 million to get in and out of! and during all of that process, not only were supporters kept in the dark about everything, even the agreed sale of St Georges Lane, and even though the Business Plan was fundamentally flawed and horrifically out of date (it still spoke of the sale of SGL at £7.3 million), it still took 3 and a half years to go through the process. And whatsmore, even though you knew nothing about what was going on, you never asked these kinds of questions of anyone did you? The fact that a part time team, at a cost of less than £100,000 have got the planning application to this stage should be applauded. Of course, if you believe that Plan B is the better way forward, then that's fine, but could you at least let us know what Plan B is?

Thank you for the update which has reconfirmed my thinking that nothing is happening in respect of Perdiswell (Plan A).
Yes to get a planning application in with very limited resources is to be applauded, but if that planning application is then just left hanging around with outstanding documents not submitted it leaves the Council with the get out clause of being able to sit on the application without having to make a decision. Or is that the Football club and trust's intention all along? We were given the impression the Labour Group as big Trust supporters were going to help get Perdiswell through but that hasn't come to fruition has it.
I have no idea what Plan B is (other than seeing Warriors mentioned by lots of people) but what you have confirmed is it is pointless in supporting a Plan A which has no end date in sight, will not happen, and is lulling supporters into a false hope that the future of the club lies at Perdiswell.

I think that making announcements that things are happening if they are not, or promising jam tomorrow, would be construed as lulling supporters into a false hope. What exactly would the Supporters Trust get out of acting in such a manner? What exactly do you mean by the Labour group "get Perdiswell through" ? Would you prefer no end date, or a forecast end date which doesnt happen leading to disappointment? I suppose you could always support these plans - I'm looking forward to that end date of 2018 to be playing in the football league! www.wcfcsupporterstrust.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/2008-AGM-and-EGM.pdf

The Nunnery Way scheme started back in 1988. As for DowntheLane - It isn't worthy of a response.

This forum is here for open chat, not anything offensive. All are more than welcome for a discussion.

No no no!!!! Don't go bringing in censorship, we don't need any dictatorial policy from administrators. If Downthelane wishes to call me a prick, I'll strongly defend her right to do so. Take away the right to reply , even if offensive, and tot be honest, do you think I'm in the slightest bit offended? And if I was, has anyone ever died from being offended? Anyway, take away the right to reply and you take away the rights of everyone on this Board to debate.

There should be room on this forum for healthy debate and for people to express contrary views. But childish insults have no worth. You have undermined all your previous comments with that one word downthelane, even if it's unclear who it was aimed at. I suppose it's good that you are passionate about our club but please respect others who feel the same.

Its ok Creaner, I'm not offended, I don't consider being called a prick offensive, and I don't want or need anyone to be offended on my behalf. So for the record, I agree with Downthelane, I am a prick! Ok? So, as we are in agreement, can Downthelane be allowed to make comments now ?
