Ok I made some notes so here is an idea of what went on. Questions and answers will be approximate. Panel was Andy Preece, Dave Boddy and Paul Curtis.
Q1
Setanta Shield. Do we want to win it or do we want to get knocked out early?
AP.
We need to see how the squad is at the time. We want to win every competition we enter but with a small squad we'll have to see how it goes. Any team we put out will be capable of winning the tie.
Q1b
Will we get any money from it?
DB
It will be a very lucrative competition. Each club gets a decent chunk of the £2.5 million pot. Also there is money from a televised match from each round.
Also I can exclusively reveal that in last nights draw we got Nuneaton at home.
Q1C
Will the club use the competition to do a promotion like Birmingham's kids for a quid?
DB
The league are discussing whether to do a kids go free across the whole competition.
Q2
Will anyone replace Andy Morrisson as coach?
AP
No I will do both duties like I did at Bury.
Q3
What ishappening about the ground?
DB.
We are at an advanced and exciting stage. You will have read the press statement last month from St Modwyns about them having purchased the land at Nunnery Way. We didn't make any statement at the time but we are involved and negotiations are at an advanced stage. We hope to sign an agreement in August.
Q3B
Any hurdles anticipated on the ground?
DB.
Normal planning ones but discussions with that department have been ongoing.
Q3C
Will the club own the ground.
DB
I am unable to comment on that but will say that the supporters will not be dissapointed.
Q3D
What is the expected timescale?
DB
The aim will be August 2009.
Q4
Why sign Ryan Clarke
AP
I don't want to praise him too much, with the press here, before the fee has been agreed. But he is an adaptable young player who can play right back, right wing and sweeper. Also he will release Graham Ward to play his natural midfield role. With a small squad adaptable players are the key.
Q5
Are you happy with the squad?
AP
Yes, within the available budget. If all the players in our small squad stay available then the play-offs are a realistic target.
Q6
Why let Tom Warmer go?
AP
I felt we needed something a little bit different. The midfield had not changed in the past two and a half years. I felt we needed more prescence and height and someone had to be sacrifised. Tom was unlucky.
Q7
Do we have any goalkeeping cover?
No. Danny is very reliable but we have some contacts if cover is needed. We have already had some discussions.
Q8
Is Justin Thompson coming back?
AP
I texted him last week but haven't had a reply yet. He has played half a dozen games in America but we will not know anything until the end of September. It would be a good option to have.
Q9
Who is going to be the Striking partnership.
Everything is open. Much can happen before the season starts. We may even play three up front, which was beginning to work at the end of the season. Saying that Wilding and Danksy both scored twenty goals last season, Webby was missing a lot with his injury. Troy will be pushing hard for a starting place.
End of part one

I will be typing this out for the wcfc website but for anyone interested here is the recording I made with my bean tins and a piece of string. Its 12mb so you'll need a to be patient if you don't have a fast connection. Oh and sorry about some of the quality but as I said it is intended for use with notes. but anyway here goes... Host was Paul Curtis answering questions from a healthy sized gathering was Chairman Dave Boddy and Manager Andy Preece. www.worcestercityfc.co.uk/resources/DW_B0024.wavIt started off okay but I could hear only the first two minutes of thirty-seven. Any ideas why, Wayne?

Part 2
Q10
Any youngsters ready to break through from the Acadamy?
AP
Not really. Last season was not as good as before but that can change quickly. It is important for local youngsters to break through to the first team to give the supporters someone to identify with. Saying that local lads sometimes have a harder time as supporters are not as patient with them. It would be nice for more to come through.
Q11
Shabir Khan never gets a decent run in the team, I know he is often injured. What is being done?
AP
It's very frustrating. He looks a good player capable of playing at a higher level. When he has had a run his form has dropped off and he has got injured. He has been at the club a long time, and we have not signed another centre back so it is time for him to do the business. He will get the chance if he proves himself.
Q12
Can you assure us that with Tamworth back in the league, their opinion of Nic Colley will not affect team selection?
AP
We will have to look at it at the time. Tamworth's opinions will notcome into it, it will be mainly down to Nic, how he feels about it and how it is affecting him.
Q13
Can we look forward to a more consistent season?
AP
We hope so. Last season's inconsistence cost us a place in the play-offs. There is no guarentee but we will strive to be more consistent.
Q14
I sounds like we will be playing more attacking football next season. I'm sure that most supporters think Danny is a great goalkeeper but his game lacks quick distribution to turn defence into attack. Will that be worked on?
AP
I don't think we were negative last season. We scored a lot of goals early on but let in a lot too. Yes we have been working on it but Danny more than makes up for his distribution in other aspects of his game.
Q15
With AM gone will we scout other teams?
AP
Yes. We have always scouted other teams. Me, andy and Geoff Ashby have done it. You have to do it if you want to prepare right. Some teams in this league have never seen other teams play, I can't understand that.
Q16
Who will be skipper?
AP
Not decided yet, Two or three spring to mind.
Q17
Who will be the main contenders in the league this season?
AP
Telford is exciting as they will bring a big following. I expect the main contenders to be : Kettering Stalybridge, with their big budget. Hyde, were a good team last year. Tamworth, getting stronger and stronger with the signings of experienced league campaigners Thorpe and Taggart. Hinckley and Nuneaton will also be there. City will be in the mix.
It's a very strong league and there will be an edge to all the games and that should bring up the attendances.
Q18
With our poor home form, in the past two seasons, what will you do to stop the gates dropping further?
AP
Do you know when the last time we lost at home was? Not this year! We are unbeaten at home this year but traditionally teams get a lift from playing here. They get a decent crowd and raise their game, unlike a wet Tuesday at Vauxhall in front of 100 people. Earlier in the season I feel that we were done a few times. We dominated the games and were hit on the break or with a wonder goal. The Redditch game comes to mind, as does the Farsley one.
Q19
Will the club look to up it's profile in the county? You see Warriors players in the paper all the time out in the community. DB
Worcester News and BBC H&W coverage is as good as anyone else.
Q19B
I mean at schools and fetes. I know they are full time but!
DB or AP
We only have two local players. Shabir and Troy. The rest live well away and have other jobs too. Burley comes from Sheffield, Cleggy from Manchester.
DB
We are in about 15 schools. (Graham Hill confirms this)
Q20
Will the new stadium have a 7 day a week income?
DB
Yes, it will have excellent confrensing and banquetting facilities. That's one of the major problems with St George's Lane. No non match day income.
Q21
Will we have another fans forum mid-season?
AP
No reason why not. I like to meet the fans face to face. I don't have any problem with answering any questions and hearing any critisisms. It's only when they hide behind some pseudoneme that I have a problem. I welcome people approaching me and the players.
DB
Yes we will have another one. We will also do a radio one like we did last year. Andy Preece will be involved this time.
That's about it. Andy Preece was relaxed and honest, as was Dave Boddy. The session lasted about half an hour.
Every thing I have written above is from notes and may not be entirely accurate. I have tried my best to remember as well as possible.
I hope that it gives those not there some idea about what went on.

I hope that it gives those not there some idea about what went on. Thanks again, Niels. That was much appreciated. I think these fans' fora should get around the country a bit more. Have the next one in Leeds, then Preston, Marple, Ealing, Norwich etc.

Do we have a third kit for when we play another team with white on their shirts or will that be sneaked in mid season?

Just a couple of thoughts.
Like the home kit. The pitch looks the best it has done for many a year. I think Chris Smith will be captain this season. No one asked/critisised Andy Preece about him still being registered as a player. Not so brave when not protected by a made up name or amongst the masses at a game.

New kit. Jury out. Have to see it to believe it. Dont like black although we have worn it before. In factthe kit is a bit retro? Late 80's?

Retro like most of the fans, then, BDS. If they didnt grow up in the late 80s, then late 80s is not far off the average age (smiley face).

On behalf of my 10 yr-old grandson a big thankyou to the players for signing yet more autographs, all of them with good grace. Especial thanks to Cleggy and Webby for having a little chat too. This sort of thing really endears them to kids.
All of the players said they couldn't wait for the season to start and seemed really up for it.
