Your help would be appreciated next Saturday morning, 11th, for an hour. As founder members of the Friends of Perdiswell Group, (which is made up of other user groups of the site), it is our turn to do a litter pick on Perdiswell. We will be meeting at 09.25am prompt on Saturday 11th July on Perdiswell and covering the area in front of the Sports Centre, across the football pitches, alongside the canal and upto the far end behind the golf course - simply go to the Sports Centre and look out for our Gazebo!
Worcester City Council will be providing the equipment but we suggest bringing your own gloves just incase they don't have enough! We expect the pick will take about an hour, depending on the amount of help.
After the pick we will be doing a mini football coaching session for juniors, so if you would like to stay on for that, please let us know the ages of your children, so we can make provisions (you must take part in the pick to take part in the football session). If you can help please let us know by sending an email to: richwiddowson@worcestercityfc.co.uk or to Rob.crean@wcfcst.co.uk Your help would be greatly appreciated.

A positive initiative that, hopefully, will impress the council on the supporters commitment to the local environment etc.. I wonder if any 'objectors' will turn up to help? Dodger.

When I last did a litter pick (Feb) Mr Marshall(The Chairman of PPP) turned up to take a photo of the group. It would be nice to see some objectors helping to keep the area tidy, but I doubt it

I won't be available anyway But, I'd like to question what this has got to do with WCFC or The Trust ? It sounds like a Perdiswell issue. I live in St Peters & would far prefer to support my own parish in this sort of venture. Sorry if this sounds negative, it's not meant to be.

Because objectors have made noise about the amount of litter the new ground would produce. What better way than to get out there and show we are willing to do something about it. I can spare an hour and will be there

Two weeks ago we were at Leigh & Bransford Badgers Presentation Day, Last weekend Hallow Primary School Fete and St Peters, yesterday Tibberton School Fete, next Sunday Lyppard Hub Fete as well as The Litter Pick next Saturday. There are a host of other things going on throughout the summer and the year including The Worcester Show in August, where we are running the Sports Zone which involves other sports and clubs from across the City. What have any of them got to do with WCFC or the Trust? If you go onto the club website community page you will find a series of other events that have nothing to do with us. Maybe we should go back into our insular shell.

I'm glad to see it was so well attended; apologies for not attending myself, I was in St George's Square all day for the Summer Fair.

Well done all, looks a great initiative. Although I wasn't there I did contribute - I dropped most of the litter.

This was a great little initiative. It was good to be able to show that the Supporters Trust aren't just looking to build a football ground. In fact, the Perdiswell plan is far more than that. You have to understand that this plan is to provide a community facility for outdoor sports which will preserve Perdiswell as a recreational outdoor sporting site for the foreseeable future, it just happens to incorporate a football ground for the use mainly of Worcester City FC. After litter picking, I noticed a group doing Yoga on a patch of grass outside the sports centre, now wouldn't it be better for that Yoga group to be able to use part of the 4G surface instead of a rough piece of land? Again, the coaching took place where it could, that would be better off on parts of the 4G pitch too. We've pledged to support Perdiswell and to make sure that its not just seen as a football club taking over and developing an open space for their own benefit. This is part of that pledge. Personally I'd like to have seen many more supporters joining in.
