Each other I presume? Should be a good game. Pity City couldn't get involved somehow.

Are we in withdrawal from the burger bar?

I am still in withdrawal from the old tea bar. At least the patches to stop the craving forWagon Wheels work quite well as does the WAGarette gum and I was a 60 a season man in my youth. (on 2nd thoughts maybe the gum stops you being unfaithful I'm not sure now..)

On a slightly more serious note why, after so many friendlies pre season, do teams not start the new league season truly match fit?

because they are knackered from all the pre season friendlies

It will be good to see Yeovil back at the Lane after all these years. There used to be something special about a City v Yeovil game, and we were almost guaranteed to draw them in a Cup every year.

Unfortunately I remember our record defeat against them : 9-1 in their favour. Still, till the visit of Plymouth Argyle I think they were our only visitors to sport green and white.

because they are knackered from all the pre season friendlies ;D Perhaps its a case of quantity v quality. How can these games be made meaningful? OK you need one or two gentle openers to remove the rust but I think 3 or 4 pre-season matches would be enough to tune up the squad. Seasons opened with the SL cup rather than the lge a few eons ago. Perhaps the Worcs Sen Cup should become a pre season comp?

Anyone recall the horrendous olive/lime green Moor Green kit of a few years ago?

There was nothing wrong with the jade and lime kit, especially under lights. Made our players look like Ready Break men ;op
I'll never forget us wearing it when we travelled to Bilston Town and they wore their orange shirts. A quality combination of colours.

How could I possibly forget Bromsgrove Rovers played in green and white? Obviously had a senior moment.

you'll never beat that City away kit combination of about ten years ago though, when we had the purple and green striped shirts and a tangerine third kit, and one time at Nuneaton had to wear the purple and green shirts with orange shorts and white socks. All it needed was a yellow hat and we'd have had the full set!
