The sponsored walk, in aid of the Perdiswell Project, to Cheltenham is tomorrow (Sunday). It will go ahead whatever the weather and whether the game is on or not (which of course we won't know at the 3am start from Perdiswell Leisure Centre car park). Currently the route is: Perdiswell Powick Upton on Severn Ryall A-38 Tewkesbury A-38 Left at Coombe Hill A-4019 to Cheltenham High Street Winchcombe Road Whaddon Road 29.4 Miles The first bit of the walk may change depending on whether Upton becomes Under Severn and if it is decided that a detour to Strencham Service Station, for a hot cup of coffee and a rest, is needed. I will do updates on here for anyone who is interested in the progress of the walk. Hopefully we will limp into Whaddon Road by 2.30 and witness City thumping The Tigers. PS. The amount currently raised/pledged is around £1000. Anyone who wants to add to that can go to the WCFC Trust website where there is a Paypal button near the bottom of the front page.

Unfortunately Millie has a knee injury which means that she will not be able to do the whole journey. However she is determined to do as much as she can, so she will join up with the walk nearer to Cheltenham.
Consequently the start will be at 4am instead of 3am.
Updates on here approximately every hour or so.

7,20. At Upton. Going to have a little rest. Check feet, change socks and have a sandwich. 12,5 miles in. River up but nowhere near flooding the road.

Niels, keep it going - definitely above and beyond the call of duty. I do hope the game is on and the boys give you 3 points to help warm you up. Also I do hope the Planning Committee note the lengths some of our fans will go to in order to bring City back home to Worcester.

9.00. At M50. Bit slow going as the paths are quite slippy. Just under an hour to Tewkesbury and a cup of coffee.

I would like to thank everyone for their encouragement, well wishes, sponsorship etc. We have raised in excess of £1000 (as long as we can collect all the money) which will go towards the costs of the Perdiswell Project.
Every bit of my lower body aches today and I'm walking around like a 90 year old. Millie hasn't suffered any after effects, I believe, and Anthony looked fine when we left him yesterday.
I took a few pictures along the route but could not post them on this board from my phone. I will add them in the next day or so, to give a bit of pictorial evidence.
