The Sky TV Programme Planner is showing
Channel 429 Setanta
Sun 13 May @ 16.15 Live Football Conference South
Mon 14 May @ 19.15 Live Football Conference North
also a programme called "Conference Calling" on at a few different times which looks like a reveiw of this season in North & South.
However I don't know if the programmes are pay per veiw or free veiw.
Anyone know any more??

Think you need a Setanta subscription, you can't get them pay per view and they're certainly not freeview. A pity, as I would like to see both these games and can't get to either of them.

I seem to recall that these games were going to be shown "Free" as part of the promotion of next seasons (2007/2008) conference football live, which Setanta will be showing weekly from Sept 2007.
however I might just of imagined this!!!

Now that would be good, especially if available on the Setanta Freeview channels. I don't get this Setanta, it all seems to be racing and Scottish football, oh and American sport!! And next season they've won rights to certain packages for the Premiership I believe, but there's no mention of what they're delivering on their website, no marketing as such. I certainly wouldn't pay £15 a month for the content they're transmitting at the moment.

I think they are going to be free to air. Pay from start of next season. All u can do is channel hop Sunday and Monday and hope
Presumably it will be part of an overall Setanta subscription. Wonder what the Blue Square Premier Alliance Conference Football League Northern Section (Midlands & North) would cost if it was available as a separate package? £1 per annum?

so why is the south play off on a sunday at 16 15, a easy time for fans to get to and the north on a monday night when less fans are able to make it?

Given that until the last day of league matches there was the possibility that the play-off final could have been between Workington and Blyth Spartans it was ridiculous that the Monday had been selected for the Conference North final.

Mazey- its because the games are being shown on Setanta that the matches are on different days. If there was to be no TV coverage, then the games would both have been played on Sunday.

What was there to stop both games being played on the Sunday with different kick-off times? Broadcasting one after the other would have probably given Setanta a better showcase to help launch their Conference involvement.

Don't think they're allowed to broadcast "live football" when others (sky) are broadcasting, sky have already sealed up most of the day (sun) with wolves v alb**n then the last premier league games of the season

Down to TV coverage......suggested by the channel, agreed by the clubs. Too much mediocre football on TV now of which this possibly is some...a bit embarrassing the players had to introduce themselves, but understandable.

A bit too much mediocre EVERYTHING on tv now. No wonder nobody's watching.

Even the highly watching Dalziel and Pascoe seems to be scraping the bucket now - anything that has to delve into the occult seems to become totally unwatchable.

I see that justice was done in Conference South and Salisbury, after heading the table more than once and finishing second in the end, will be playing in the Conference next season.
An old Southern League adversary overtakes us again!

Salisbury have done remarkably well the last couple of seasons - they were only really a Southern League rival of ours for a couple of seasons, and we usually did ok against them, though I do recall a shoddy FA Cup defeat under George, at their old ground in the park. The only highlight that day was walking round the park at 1.30pm when we arrived, and convincing the geezer on the gate that we were out for a stroll and had no intention of watching the football, and then hopping over the fence into the ground! They got their money in beer, and didn't have to split it with City and the FA!

I recall one of the coldest and most abject displays ever by a City side losing 1-0 to an even poorer Salisbury side at their new ground some years ago. I find it hard to believe though that theri ground is even close to Conference standard.
